If Tuckahoe wants to be considered a desirable neighborhood for residents and a draw to home buyers, construction like this must be avoided.

There is nothing that would diminish our safe, relatively quiet bedroom community than 8 or 9-60ft flood lights. You only have 28 parking spaces! What makes your think 28 potential spectators need such powerful wattage to watch a soccer game???? Not to mention the derelicts it will attract. Concordia personnel has a difficult time enough as it is keeping their grounds clean or safe for their students and our environment. As a mother who walks from Hobart Street to The Chapel School on White Plains Rd. every day to pick up and drop off my daughter, we walk over shards of glass, debris, trash, cans, cups, food containers, poison ivy, poison oak, poison sumac, etc EVERY DAY. I have called Concordia several times making complaints about such debris and poison growth but nothing has changed. In 2+ years nothing has been done to remedy the situation. Furthermore, with the plans of building a concession stand very close to White Plains Rd., this is only going to attract more trash, more debris, rodents and more of a toxic and harmful environment for our children. Ritualistically, I’ve taken photos of the described I have seen in our path. I would be more than happy to share.

This type of development does not belong in a residential neighborhood.

I live directly across the street. Illuminating the field and inviting the public will make a bad situation worse.

This is a quite residential neighborhood. As it is we hear all the cheering throughout the neighborhood during day games.

Traffic is bad now getting in and out of rose ave when games are on. Would be a disaster, cannot imagine where all the cars would park.

Light pollution is a major concern for many, but there are numerous reasons why the athletic field upgrades are detrimental to the surrounding community, and do not enhance the space. The existing field has been a source of unchecked sound pollution for years, and is generally an eyesore. There is no question that the space needs revitalization of some kind, but the current plans enhance existing cons, and unload many new burdens onto surrounding residents. If the upgrades are implemented as currently proposed, increased light pollution, louder more consistent sound pollution , limited space to accommodate increased traffic and parking, and drainage issues, will all diminish the peace and value of surrounding neighborhoods. Bordering towns have elected not to upgrade certain aspects of their neighborhoods to preserve the historic quaint aesthetic of their communities. The current plans seem aggressively modern. If those planning and approving this project choose to ignore community concerns, it would be a great courtesy to (at the very least) clearly lay out legally binding rules for field operations before the project begins. Allow residents to weigh in on various restrictions such as: -whether or not the field can be rented by outside communities -sound and light level limitations (matching the exact levels legally/respectfully obey by neighbors) -parking and traffic flow/police presence

I want to amend my comment about Eastchester and Bronxville. Tuckahoe has the final say over the project because it is in the village. However, residents of Bronxville and Eastchester that live near the site can attend tomorrow's meeting and voice their concerns. You can also speak to your county and state reps to see what pressure they can apply. You can express your concerns to your town and village boards but they will tell you it is not their decision.

Concordia is going to get all the benefit from this project. The residents will not. There has to be consideration for their concerns and a compromise needs to be reached. This should not be a done deal and rubber stamped by the Planning Board and the Village. Contact the Tuckahoe Mayor and the Village Trustees and see where they stand on this plan. It might make sense to reach out to News12, Fios1, The Journal News, Daily Voice and Eastchester Review and let them know about the issue and the meeting. I know that News12 did a story recently on this topic. There is also an upcoming Tuckahoe Trustee election on March 20th. The village board can be held accountable if they don't help the residents. The property is in Tuckahoe, Eastchester and Bronxville can't do anything about this project.

This proposal by Concordia is unfathomable. Tuckahoe cannot manage /monitor or insure the safety of residents on a typical ball game day currently much less adding to the chaos in the evening. It is a quite residential area and such a proposal driven by greed is preposterous and jeopardizes the safety of residents particularly children who are already in danger with the Tennis facility.

I do not support the installation of these lights. The negative impact on birds,tranquility and noise pollution need to be considered .
