Have emailed council voicing objections. Cannot even understand why consideration is even being given to a plan with such negative effects on the community and environment

I object most strongly to the outine planning application. The local infrastructure will not support 150 dwellings. We must preserve the "green" pockets of land around Efail Isaf

We live in the village (very close to the proposed site) and have 3 small children. We are seriously concerned that the huge amount of extra traffic visiting the proposed site represents a safety issue for the children.

The narrow roads in Efail Isaf will not cope with this influx on residents.

I urge the Local Authority to refuse the application as it has done so in the past. The plan is not new but one submitted in the past which the Local Authority has previously rejected.

This development would put more stress on current services that are already overstretched.
Alternatives are available.

An increase of 150 houses is a substantial increase and the road infrastructure is not designed to cope with such an increase.
The roads are narrow with poor visibility, commercial traffic will cause mayhem and struggle with manoeuvring through the village - an accident waiting to happen!!
This site is also a designated Special Landscape Area with protected species within it so this would have a dramatic effect on their habitat.
Our schools and hospitals are already overcrowded and Efail Isaf and surrounding areas are already overcrowded.
This application should not even be considered!!!

We all need to stand together against building on such a large scale in a small village.

the area is already over developed.
gp surgery is over flowing, we can never get an appointment within a reasonable time scale.
Schools are bursting at the seams
roads are struggling with the increased traffic.
The beautiful countryside is dramatically disappearing due to unnecessary over developments

We object for the following reasons:
1, Its outside the settlement boundary.
2.This area is already over developed and will more than double the traffic attempting to enter Heol Dowlais/Heol y Ffynnon from Heol Ty Celyn.
3. Bus services are infrequent and train station 5 miles away.
4.There are major bottle necks in the village. One at the bridge on the Western end doesn't have a pavement. The Eastern end of Ffordd y Capel is only passable as a single lane. Many cars have to mount the pavement to pass.
5. On Wednesdays the refuse service causes a major traffic headache.
6. The new Llantwit Fardre bypass is already becoming log jammed at peak periods in the morning and tea time.

The proposed development of 150 houees and a GP surgery simply cannot be supported by the current road infrastructure in the village. We have existing homeowners park their cars on the roads already causing a severe constriction of road access without this proposed new development. Pedestrians already have access problems in the village having to use the road to pass cars parked on the pavement.

This site is outside the settlement boundary and lacks sustainability and is in a general area that is already overdeveloped
