I don’t agree this housing development. Look forward to the report from natural resource wales .. seen previous reports online which states that there are no evidence of hedgehogs / bats roosting / owls .. however I have evidence cctv of all 3 in my garden every night which backs on this development !!!!! That’s without listing several bird species which are red listed as showing in decline in the uk !!

I echo the comments and objections of all my fellow residents. It is incomprehensible to believe that the existing infrastructure and amenities can handle the proposed developments. There is one road in and out of the village, both leading to roundabouts and these back up daily at rush hour. The village feel and status which defines Efail Isaf would be destroyed!!. We wouldn't be able to allow the kids to cycle along the main road alone because pavements are already narrow as it's a village.
The waiting time for a routine appointment at parc canol is at least 4 weeks, so no point better off going to A&E.
Considering RCT breached their air pollution targets for NOx and PM at the llantwit fardre roundabout a few years ago none of these developments will help.
Basically Efail Isaf is being targeted from all directions for developments- the new perssimon houses under construction in creigue, ystrad barwig, the proposed developments opposite the carpenters pub and now this one!! Has the council even considered what the cumulative negative impacts on the village and the surrounding infrastructure would be if all the houses where built!! Please please consider all the very real and damaging consequences of this development on the village and its residents for decades to come.

The farm on Heol Ffwrdd Philip (opposite Waun Hir - owner by Rhys) has had extensive drill testing for the soil and diggers digging deep holes over the last two days. So thats in full flow and gives another 80 houses coming down the pipeline to add to the 350 proposed. Beautiful spot. So selfish from the landowner. Unbelievable. None of this housing will be sympathetic to design, or to surrounding area. Real, real shame.

Strongly against as it will ruin the rural surroundings, also over populate the area, not enough facilities to accommodate number of people e.g. doctors, school, etc! Ruin the country side and destroy wildlife in these areas. Road ways won't be able to handle the amount of added traffic.

This is ridiculous! I drive to Brecon every day for work and the longest part of my journey is getting from my house (Crown Hill) to the A470. The roads are far too busy as it is!

The addition of 350 houses in Efail Isaf will arguably add perhaps 700 cars, all trying to join the bypass during the rush hour and the school run. My property looks over the bypass, and I can confirm that on many occasions, traffic heading to Treforest is backed up to between the Crown Hill roundabout and the Roundabout joined by Station Road.
The additional traffic from this development will exacerbate that situation, and the new residents will attempt to join the bypass at the Station Road roundabout by travelling through the village. rather than joining it at the Crown Hill roundabout. The road through the village is already difficult to use, further traffic can only increase the danger posed to vehicles and pedestrians.

How on earth will this development improve anything for residents of Efailisaf. This is purely for the commercial benefit of the developer, and also the council, who will receive an extra £70,000 per month (£200 x 350) for collecting bins... when they choose to.
Why is this development not in the North of RCT, where they really need the development? Because both council and the developer won't make as much money there as they would out of our village.
You should also know that the owner of the farm up from the Carpenters pub on Heol Fwrdd Phillip is also going through the initial stages of having land surveys completed.
Call me cynical but development on Cwm Isaf is considered outside the development, but linking the two farms then looks less haphazard development, more in-keeping with existing development boundaries ... and also meaning the size of our village will be trebled, and changed to the point of being unrecognisable for future generations.
Greed is a terrible thing.
.....which is the sole issue here; none of this development has the residents' benefit in mind.
Cwm Isaf mention providing the 'potential' for a new school - which should read, they will provide land... not the building ... not the teachers... all lip-service.

Rct planning has already granted planning permission for 450 houses at Ystrad Barwig with no regard to the concerns of our local councillor and residents.Another 350 houses will give the potential at the very least of a futher 800 cars using the bypass.The local surgery has a 4 week wait for appointments and local wildlife and green belt is being decimated.

The village cannot withstand the impact of further traffic and development in our village. The traffic exiting the village is bad right now due to speeding traffic coming from the bypass. This would be expedited ten fold with the planned development coming to fruition. There is also a single road for most of the village which wouldn’t work for the planned development and traffic volumes.

I am against the proposed development. This is outside the RCT present local development plan for the area it would have an impact of the road traffic already heavy on the by pass at the present time.
