I grew up in East Cobb, went out of state for college and moved back to East Cobb to raise a family. This development goes against everything our little hamlet of Cobb is about. There is a reason we are one of the most educated, high net worth areas in the country. This will do nothing but diminish the values of not only our community but it flies in the face of everything East Cobb is about. If this goes through I will make sure I remember the names of everyone involved for every election for the rest of my life.

The senior living complex on the Tritt property was not allowed because of the height of the buildings and density. This plan should not be either.
To allow this plan would be unfair to the property owners since their housing values would be affected adversely.
Sandy Plains Road is already too crowded. This plan would make traffic worse.

I was happy to hear that something was finally going to be done with the eyesore
shopping center at this
location. But 5 story apartment buildings was not what I had in mind.

Introducing apartments into this corridor, and across from a major Cobb County High School is bad policy for this community. Furthermore the property is not zoned for such and there is no justification as to benefit for the community to dump hundreds of apartments in this location. Adjacent property values will be depressed as more of a transient citizenry will inevitably afflict the schools servicing this location. Cobb County must reject this unprecedented "Zoning Overlay" charade swiftly and signal that East Cobb will not be manipulated by marketing using trendy descriptions like "flats" instead of hat this proposal has been about since day one.... plain old "apartments" that do not benefit this area. Say no to this application.

Piedmont Chase. Apartments across from a high school is not a good idea. Apartments lead to a much more transient population and typically do not have as big of a concern for the community as homeowners do.

East Cobb does not need high density housing. I don't want this to set a precedent for future zoning.
