We don't need high rises in our neigborhood. We need human scale buildings suitable to the scale of their environment. The proposed building is better built across Central where it will blend in with those around it not stick out like a sore thumb and dwarf its surroundings.

What arguments is the developer putting forward in favor of the zoning changes? How do the changes serve the interests of the community? If the benefits don't outweigh the harm, there is no justification for waiving the regulations; they were put in place explicitly to prevent this kind of monstrosity.

I live at 2929 University. I am against this proposal not only because of the size and increased traffic. But because of the design. Anyone who would propose a Crome and glass building for this sight, has no sense of the architectural feel of SMU or Snider Plaza. If the designers are this much out of touch with the neighborhood, they obviously are not going to be neighborhood friendly with their project.

The proposed development would destroy the scale and size of what is appropriate for University Park, which is a residential and educational community

I own the property at 3444 Haynie and I am opposed to the height, increase in traffic and the reflective exterior. Thanks for protesting!

3408 Amherst - I am typically prodevelopment, but this does not make sense for the neighborhood and families that live here. This is a neighborhood, not an office park. There is no overwhelming benefit to the neighborhood or citizens of UP, but there will be significant additional traffic and congestion added to an area that is already a problem. The additional traffic will push more cars looking for other paths onto neighborhood roads which are already unsafe with speeders and people running stop signs.

Completely agree with the proposed changes and hope Strode will listen to those whose day to day lives will be most impacted by this!

Proposed structure, and expected traffic impact, far too tall and significant for a core residential area that is already overcrowded with streets that can barely be driven down safely as is.

Additional traffic is a minus for Snider Plaza and a disaster for residents. Please no more.

The last thing we need is any increase in traffic. For that matter, we do not need any more restaurants or banks to serve the needs of the community.

The traffic situation already bad here. Very dense area. The height of this building does not blend with the traditional area either.

I firmly oppose the developers proposals as it is not in the best interest of our community in terms of safety /security, and over all amenities for which present residents have chosen the area for their home . Our city council and planning commission should do their job in maintaining the integrity of our neighborhood.
