The residents have spoken and they are NOT in favor of the development for extremely valid and true reasons. The developer is clearly foregoing the concerns of the community for his own gain. One way to send a message LOUD and CLEAR that we do not want such a development is that, if in fact it does get built, then either we don't rent spaces in it or don't visit businesses that rent in it. In that way the financial incentive is taken away and hopefully developers will learn to listen to the community. We don't have to support a developer that works against us.

This is essentially the same type of expansion that the former owner/developer (Huddleston) tried to get approved a few years ago. In many ways this request is actually worse. The wisdom of the City Council then was there was already too much density in the area. Nothing has changed in the interim and the Council's decision should be a denial of the proposal.

There is already too much traffic and this would only make it worse for pedestrians!

3311 Greenbrier. Any significant additional traffic in the subject location would be detrimental to resident safety, particularly children and college students who cross that intersection frequently between SMU and Snider Plaza. Also, the diagonal drive-in parking in front of the business along Hillcrest is already a traffic hazard and it would be made more so by additional traffic back-ups north of the Daniel/Hillcrest intersection caused by 4000 new cars per day. Finally, doubling the height of the existing (already out-of-scale) structure would leave us for the next 40 years with an eyesore that is entirely out of character with the rest of the neighborhood.

Students, faculty and staff from SMU regularly walk to Snider Plaza from SMU to lunch. The intersection of Hillcrest and Daniel is already dangerous for pedestrians. Increasing traffic in the area will increase this danger. Consider also that many kids walk/bike to school through this area of Snider Plaza.

I completely disagree with the proposed zoning changes to allow greater commercializations of a residential community

Please keep the size of the building smaller than what is currently proposed. This is a traffic -heavy area already right by our homes and schools. We do not want any increased traffic around our streets and homes.

I am opposed to the proposed zoning change. I live at 4117 Shenandoah. I would like to see a new building that adheres to current zoning laws.

I disapprove of the new building for the stated reasons.
