Negative - extra traffic, precedent for future buildings.

I am all for removing the current structure and replacing it with something else but let's be reasonable about the size and outside structure. Glass just does not look good next to SMU.

Request of Strode Development to increase current zoning rights should be rejected. Strode acquired property with knowledge of current zoning limitations and given their expertise should be able to work within those constraints to develop something commercially viable which does not destroy character of neighborhood. 5000 additional cars using an already inadequate infrastructure will create significant safety and quality of life issues for UP residents and SMU students and staff. Very supportive of using City's fund to develop park/greenspace on surface lot.

Traffic and safety by the middle school will be a huge issue. This is not supposed to be a big City area. Stop the development.

3821 McFarlin Blvd., Dallas, TX 75205 Our infrastructure is already strained with the increasing population and this project would just further burden the system and inconvenience residents with additional unsupported traffic. Also, the higher structure would hurt the value of other buildings, set a bad precedent and end up very negatively impacting the skyline of our area by making it feel crowded with taller buildings instead of like a nice neighborhood.

Object rezoning change. This area is already very crowd, can not take anymore traffic. We need a safe community for our kids. Address: 3614 Asbury St. Dallas, TX, 75205.

I object to the proposed rezoning because of the increased traffic flow which will hinder safety in the area, as well as the increased building level which will become an eyesore., as well as "deviate from the scale and character of Snider Plaza, SMU, and Park cities in general. "

I'm from SMU. It would lead to more traffic, and perhaps more accidents around the school. Thus I object to the change. Thanks.

I am a student from SMU. I object to passing this change. It will make the environment around the university worse.

Inappropriate commercial developments is a form of theft against the community. We think two stories is all that should be permitted. This family would rather look at the result of a prior zoning mistake (owner should have been required to tear down the chase bldg and clean up the lot) than to make yet another zoning mistake that places children at high risk and adds unnecessary stress to the community. Do we really need more commercial space in UP? 3104 Bryn Mawr (UP resident for 19 years)
