Assalamu Alaikum!
We are 50 Nurses from mansoura university, Egypt kindly sponsored by His Excellency former Governor of Kano State Engr. Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso the present Senator of Kano Central Senatorial district.
At first we were staff members of Kano State Hospital Management Board, taken to Mansoura University to study BSc. Nursing on government demand that we are coming back to teach in a newly established college of Nursing And Midwifery in Gezawa, Madobi and Kano respectively.
As i early mentioned that we were staff Nurses on different grade levels ranging from lowest conhess 6 to highest conhess 10 with variable amount of salary. From the first month we arrived egypt we only get that very month salary and from there it was stopped not notifying us that our salary will be stopped, we started living a hardship life of no salary and yet allowance never paid, after about a week we get alerted from our first bank's acct. that 268690 as ($300 monthly)were credited into our accounts as feeding allowance for 6 months for that matter, of which if you calculate 300* dollar price will give you different amount. we continue to bear the hardship despite the money quantity bearing in mind that some are married with lots of responsibilities of parents and wives while others have their parents and brothers. The following 6 monthly allowances was given through the same channel with the same hardship and the same amount of which we continue bearing the situation leaving the fact that females were told to be paid $400 each month for cosmetics and other gender issue.
In the early January 2015 our Juniors 135 students from Kano started arriving in Mansoura to study same course at the same university, were we warmly accept them guide them until they became familiar with the situation, and it was from there we started noticing the discrimination from the government as they had their 6 monthly allowances for fee
