Does it really make sense to cut 60+ acres for this? Must be large roof areas, quarries, brownfield that would be more suitable!

The proposed lack of oversight is shameful. This is especially true when one considers all the requirements on individual residents vis-a-vis buliding permits and zoning regulations for the simplest of activities. Additionally, the tax abatement in the current state fiscal situation and the effect this will have on towns is absurd.

This project needs a full impact study as well as response as to why and how it got such a under the table "sweetheart deal" with the Mayer $ and town council $$$$
Not to mention the fact that there are many properties that are clear already and stand much less chance of causing serious problems like erosion and negative effects on area wells and water quality.

This is not the "good solar" that will offset our power costs and power our area. We will receive NO benefits from this. It's all about big business.

This plan does not support Candlewood Mountain, New Milford, or even the state of CT. As a resident of Candlewood Mountain, there are better locations which are already clear which could be utilized to support a solar farm. There is no value added to the residents of New Milford by placing this in the proposed location. A full environmental assessment must be provided, including the impact on CO2 scrubbed by 80 acres per year vs. what this plan offers, the habitat of not only the bald eagles that nest on Candlewood Lake, but the deer and turkey which legally feed our family throughout the year, the mountain residents live upon well water and we have not seen what this plan would do not only to the water table, but the quality of our water. There needs to be more thoughtful consideration of the long-term impact of this project vs. short-term monetary gain for very few.
