I do not have children in school. Mine are all raised but I do have grandkids in this school district. Do you people not understand how much money you will lose by not bussing the kids to Chaparral, also they have the room. I went to Attica K-12 was in the same building, no problems only benefits.

I believe that when all the money was spent to update Anthony, Harper & Chaparral a couple of years ago, they should have built one amazing complex and that would have reduced a lot of the overhead for the school district. The money saved could have been used to improve academics.

Chaparral has the space for the JH kids and they benefit because they get more classes offered to them. Plus the younger grades need more room in both towns.

The little kid's have to many kid's in class room's and need more time one on one time and if they don't move the older kid's out there then they can't help the little kid's in class room's. They will be the ones that suffer not the Board members or teacher's but the kids.
Very good discussion. What we are trying to do is educate the public on the key factors and how it affects student learning for the children of USD 361. If you would like more information, we are having another meeting in Harper at 7:00 on Monday, March 31st. The locaiton has yet to be determined.

I do not agree with the boards decision, it limits the value and opportunity of our young students. As an alternative for the future, maybe a new middle school is needed. Possibly at the old Lincoln school in Anthony or a facility just like Chapparal, across the street from the high school maybe.

Before signing the petition, please attend the meeting on Monday March 31st to get more information, ask questions and express concerns.
The meeting will be held in Harper at 7 pm in the Senior Center located across the street from the Post Office on North Central.
Keep in mind that this meeting has been prepared by community members, parents and teachers in favor of rescinding the motion.
For more information you can also attend the next board meeting held on April 14th in the Anthony Elementary/JH at 7:30 pm.
