Rescind the Plattsburgh Law to NOT feed stray cats

These cats need to eat weather or not they have a home or not. Ty everyone who doesfeed and water the homeless cats. It's not fair to them to be homeless

This is inhumane and cruel. How about finding a solution instead of starving these poor innocent babies. They need our help. Feed them dont let them starve. It is not their fault they are homeless. Lend them a hand and be kind. Respect all creatures on this planet because once they are gone we will be too.

This law is absolutely absurd.

The problem is the people that abandon these animals. These are the people that should be prosecuted, not those trying to help. Plattsburgh is so backward. Solve the real issue (abandonment). Your persecuting the wrong people, So typical of Plattsburgh. SOLVE THE PROBLEM, Don't try to solve it by symptom. Your way is totally inhumane! This group of City Representatives is the worst we have EVER had!

If the people were making money off feeding these stray cats don’t you think that the mayor would have his hand out collecting his share. But because there’s nothing in it for him he has to come up with this idiotic law for these poor defenseless cats and kittens. He’d rather have all the dead smelly carcasses lying around our Plattsburgh areas. How pitiful.

So sad.

So we reduce by starving them? Animal cruelty is also against the law.

This "law" is ridiculous! What is next are we going to stop donating to worthy causes? Will we stop our food shelves? No more shelters? I am appalled!

I totally disagree with this new law, these animals didn't ask to be in the streets, shouldn't have to pay the ultimate price of starvation if someone is willing to feed them. This law is ridiculous! So the law is saying it's best to let these animals die than to feed them?? OMG!

I find it pathetic that the mayor can dig up money for projects that will only serve the wealthy, and for innocent animals he wants us to let them starve to death. I bet if helping land funds to trap, neuter and release as many cats as possible would help him stay in politics, he would have done so yesterday. Like all politicians, he is a liar, coldhearted and a joke. He is so out of touch, he wouldn't know empathy if a cat jumped on his lap and nuzzled him. Disgusting.

This law is very short-sighted. It addresses the end result of not spraying or neutering cats instead of getting out ahead of the issue. We need to give people incentives to spay and neutered their pets early on. We also need to support local trap and neuter programs.

Stop the cruelty
