Rescind the Plattsburgh Law to NOT feed stray cats

Feral cats serve a purpose. They help to keep the rodent population down

This law is so wrong and how can the city be so heartless!!!!

Sometimes animals just need to be fed and I for 1 will keep doing it if I see a stray who needs it

This is the most ridiculous law ever.

There has to be a better way. These animals do not belong to be punished due to societies ignorance of breeding and not spaying/neutering.

What kind of people would make a law of this kind?

Starving any living being, human or animal is cruel. Stop being heartless.

This law does nothing but kill innocent animals! Get opinions of those in the field of veterinary medicine & organization that know the every day struggles to know how to help not hurt before passing such laws

This is ridiculous law it won't stop the stray cat population from increasing all it will do is let more animals suffer. If people chose to feed them they should no be punished for being caring

The city should provide free/ low cost spay/neuter for all cats. We, humans, domesticated cats & WE need to help them. Our laws should reflect kindness, not cruelty!

How about punishing the people who abandoned their pets in the first place?!

TNR is the humane solution. Do not starve animals who are unlucky byproducts of domestication and usually dumped family pets.

This is disgusting. It's not the cats fault that their humans don't take care of them and get them fixed or leave them behind unwanted if they move. They dont deserve to be starved. Anyone who agrees with this petition is heartless. Shame on you.

Can’t see them starving but they do need to be fixed . Hate to see any animal suffer
