ALICE.... the pregnant, stray cat were just took in off the streets sure is happy now..... She didn't deserve to starve to death...For shame to even consider this an option!

Encourage TNR and show kindness, feed the cats.

Come into this century. Trap-Neuter-Return is far more effective at controlling stray and feral cat populations than trying to starve or euthanize them. TNR also reduces disease, and it is certainly more humane. Some research indicates that TNR with associated colony caretakers is even better for bird populations since the cats no longer have to hunt for their food in order to survive.

Please RECIND the law NOT to feed feral cats!!! They should be fed!! They should also be trapped, neutered and returned to their feral colony!

This is not the answer. Implementing a TNR programs is more humane and effective.

How can anyone think that feeding and providing shelter and water would be a bad thing for these poor cats that ended up outside because of uncaring humans!!
TNR and subsidized spay/neuter is the way to go. Then you would have way less outdoor cats to contend with, which rescues could then help.

I think it’s quite sad that these cats have been dumped by people and now there is a law to let them fend for themselves. Whoever’s law this is should be ashamed of themselves. It’s not the cats fault.

I am signing this because I love animals. Lived in Champlain, NY for 53 years. Moved to SC in 2010. For the last year at work I have been feeding our cats in the yard. Strays. They get Meow Mix just like my 2 at home.

I moved out of Rouses Point 5 months ago and am disgusted at the thought of anyone letting animals starve!!! An effort put into finding the people who abandon pets would be more humane!!!!
