I am a resident of Garfield, NJ and we have a TNR policy in place. Free spay/neuter is provided by the town. In addition, our county, along with several other nearby counties, offer spay/neuter vouchers or services. Sorry Plattsburgh, but TNR is the only path that actually works for controlling feral cat populations. Feeding and caring for controlled colonies does not exacerbate the problem. Please change your laws. Allow your residents to feed and care for fixed colonies.

An inhumane law that is unrealistic in implementation and detrimental to the successful efforts of the TNR program that has been in place for many years by largely volunteers working with the local Animal/Feline Cat Rescue organization.

Despite claims to the contrary, this law is not well-written. Not only is it unclear, but it is not humane.

The government needs to stop making laws that take the "HEART" out of Human Beings giving to animals and animal shelters. Make laws about getting criminals off the streets, and drugs off the streets !!

Please rescind this cruel inhuman law. You don’t starve innocent animals or punish people who try there best to care for them. It’s just wrong ! Wrong on every level.

I feel that it’s okay to feed the feral cats and dogs I did it for years and I paid to have them fixed and released or find homes. Remember it’s not the animal fault they are left behind to fend for them self . The real issue is people who take on an animal should be held responsible for that animal till they pass on so ever animal should be chipped and if someone find a New home for that animal then change the name for the chip for new owners. That’s just my opinion

If this line of thinking actually worked we wouldn't need social services.

This is an inhumane law. Anyone who would pass such a law is cold hearted and cruel and needs to be educated. I am in disbelief.

I think the mayor of Plattsburgh is a big blankety-blank he Thoughtless and uncaring how can you let animals that can't take care of their self starve I mean honestly what's throw you out on the street and make it a law that we can't feed you you what's next you going to stop feeding the homeless because they live on the street you're going to find people if we give a homeless person or a hamburger or sandwich you are heartless
