I am for repealing the new bylaw. The new bylaw allows for excessively large buildings that are incompatible with current housing in the area.

Infills are ruining our quiet peaceful neighborhoods. Putting 10 families on 1 lot creates parking issues, noise issues and more traffic than our neighborhood can handle. Traffic is already a nightmare and doing 20 more people means the possibility of 20 mote cars per infill, our neighborhood can't handle that!!!

WJP has been battling greedy developers and a corrupt council for almost 20 years. Our ARP, which a neighborhood community working with the city invested hundreds of hours to develop, was thrown out by council after a few years as being dated and “old”. There was no consultation with the community.

Horrible bike lane design with no consideration for taxpayers opinions. Waste of my money. Destroying good roads and sidewalks. I feel betrayed by this city council. I want them all to lose their jobs. And they had the nerve to take a raise in April. Appalling!

The rate and degree Belgravia is being overdeveloped is unacceptable. This neighbourhood cannot support the increase in traffic or population. It's already dangerous trying to get around during rush hour with all the traffic. More development will only add to the congestion.

10 unit builds are going up on a single lot. Duplexes are one thing , but 10 units that are not ecstatically pleasing is another. This is causing a sewer smell as our infrastructure cannot take it overflow.

Building multiple units within a single lot , typically a corner lot does not take into account space for parking, deteriorating sewer lines , and a developer who has no stake in the community whatsoever. It’s a money grab . And it does not appear to bring down the price of housing which the idea of high density construction is promoting.
Having lived in a mature neighborhood for 45 years and having zero input into how the community needs to adapt to our cities housing needs is not democratic but ignorant .

Over the past 10 years our neighborhood has become noisy and congested. Four plexes on every corner. Constant noise from never ending construction. Building 2 $800,000 skinny on lots is not affordable it just an eyesore. Only ones getting rich is the developers. These older neighborhood’s infrastructure isn’t designed for all these new homes. They are ruining the charm of these neighborhoods one new infill at a time. I hope all the clowns on the city council are booted out in October. They don’t listen or care about residents who have lived in this neighborhoods for decades.

Bylaw 20001 is destroying the character of mature neighborhoods. The city council has shown a casual disregard for its citizens and is pandering to developers to compensate for poor fiscal management. There is no common sense remaining on city council. Let us hope there is a big change in the upcoming civic election.
