Restore Edmonton's Democracy: Rescind. Rethink. Redo

I an not against development but please limit the size to reflect the characteristics of the immediate neighborhood.

Building two eight plexes next to each other is shortsighted. Parking and people jammed in. There is a better way

We, us, I, living in the communities need to stand up in any way possible for a positive and better infill / change in all neighborhoods. How about creating some action to let the city and developers know that they are not welcome in destroying our neighborhoods, plastering it with 4/6 story builds or 8 units per lot ?! Organizing media/radio CKUA etc. Before May 20 or June 3, the next phase of decision making in City Hall above our heads, the people in the communities. It could be just a simple blockade of construction sites, or truck drivers hauling dirt, concrete or building materials, to let them know about our deep concerns, Or A demonstration / rally in front of City Hall with billboards, lots of noise and good speakers and people to explain our positions for a better infill. City hall needs to start listening to the people and act accordingly with us ! I don't think this is too radical, concerning how much the City / developers radically and fast destroying our mature neighborhoods

This city council is destroying the fabric of our communities. Who ever came up with this idea and those who have supported it should be shown the door.

Responsible infills are what is needed

Infill is only 1 problem this city has. We definitely need new faces on city council this fall.

Communities deserve the right to consultation prior to infill development. City council needs to be transparent on possible conflict of interest. City conflict of interest policy needs to be improved.

Keep the neighbourhoods to single family dwellings like they were meant to be, and don’t put up any duplexes for Plexes or multiplexes without taking them into parking another infrastructures

STOP...Digging up My City! My peaceful city of Edmonton has become a Zoo of unworkable roadways with Construction absolutely everywhere with unhappy frustrated people everywhere! It's passed time to release All of the Liberal & NDP Mayor and Counselors.

Please protect our mature neighbourhoods!

Get back to safe sensible neighborhoods. There is no need to ruin a beautiful old neighborhood with out of place 8 unit monstrosities

Sharing, and thank you for showing the initiative required to address this. There is a great need for further consideration, perhaps even the suggested amendments, particularly Phase 1 - 2.2, IMHO.

Keep the process transparent and keep the citizens informed

The public information sessions are not transparent

Myself and others from my community have appeared 3 times at City Council speaking about the Zoning Bylaw and zoning issues impacting our community. Impression was Council had already made up their mind & pretty well ignored us with the exception of opposition to rezoning of a specific property. The zoning admin people didn't even give the developer good direction in that they did not have to apply for rezoning for what they claimed they were planning to do.

We have 3 x 4plexs with basement suites, so essentially 3 x 8 plex’s going up right beside each other, RIGHT Nextdoor to us. This is ridiculous for parking, sewage & garbage. 1 would be fine, however 3 is assassin.

I am dont want to live next to an apartment building with no parking! I want a community of other families

I’m appalled at which the rate the City of Edmonton is densifying, and there appears to be no plan for the process. The city seems to approve any developer application without following the due process set out in our municipal policies.

They are ruining out neighborhoods, and pulling down perfectly good and well built bungalows to completely fill the space with buildings.
