I have seen the damage to next properties and witness the city council disregard for the tax paying citizens next to these awful infills.

They are ruining some of the nicest neighborhood’s in Edmonton. They are raising the prices of housing and say they are doing this for the people but then put a terrible multi family home in extremely expensive neighborhoods which doesn’t make it cheaper for the average family and also ruins the neighborhood

It is critical to recognize the uniqueness of our neighbourhoods and to reasonably preserve same. One size fits all zoning by-law is anti community at its heart and speaks to choosing administrative ease and indolence over good planning.

Adequate parking is a key requirement in residential development. Densification in established neighborhoods needs to be reduced. Exterior facades of new developments in established neighborhoods need to have some respect of the current neighbourhood architecture - neighbourhood consultation should be encouraged or mandated. 4 units should be 2 front & 2 side doors. More than 4 units should be required to have a single street facing door with a foyer for unit access. BLEND IN !

Infill should be case by case basis and voted by each neighborhood, especially by direct neighbors. We're in Summerlea and trying to fight an 8 housing complex going in the wrong place, cul de sac with little too no parking and in the middle of only single dwelling houses. Just so wrong to let this happen.

City Council is not listening to its residents about responsible infill, but at the same time they are charging us one of the highest property taxes in the Country.

I am so disappointed and disgusted with the zoning bylaw changes in this city over the past 5 years. My neighbourhood has changed for the worse as have so many others. Crazy decisions.

Because I don't think all homeowners should have to pay a lawyer $200 to put a covenant on their property. It's ridiculous.

Very concerned about density and effects on residential neighborhoods. Over taxing infrastructure, over parked streets and safety.

Municipal govt is beholden to non-citizen interests: corporate, political, or other. Remember who you serve. Residents. Tax payers. Stop serving the developers and lining their pockets.

The infrastructure of older neighbourhoods (primarily drainage) does not support the addition of multiplex development. This is irresponsible planning.

Democracy is important. Those in government need to listen to the people. The current bylaw is not working for people living in the neighbourhoods.

We need to have a say regarding rezoning in established neighbourhoods. Taxes go up but nothing gets done. Decisions around infilling are made without citizen input.

Was not notified about this matter and felt I was blindsided; my wife and I have been Crestwood residents for 37 years! I should have known about this. Our community is everything to us.
We need a better grip on what's happening to our city.
