I’m opposed to any multi level buildings in our neighborhood. It’s bad enough that we are dealing with all these skinny infill homes .

Our mature neighborhoods' characters are being destroyed by the new zoning bylaw. Some thought needs to be put into a changed bylaw.

I live because of the existing character of the block and indeed entire neighbourhood. A massive increase in density and on street parking would completely destroy feeling that exists. Frankly if things around here change I will move to Sherwood Park where the zoning laws are sensible.

After thousands of Volunteer hours over 40 years working to develop a responsible denser neighbourhood this is way out of line. If these new builds were affordable AND for families I would have a better understanding of the change. They are intrusive to existing neighbours and do not provide affordable homes for families, are not built sustainably or with fire safety in mind.

I do not like the multifamily housing that’s going up in my neighborhood. It’s extremely tall and dwarfing everyone’s bungalows. It also doesn’t fall under affordable living because the rent they are asking is quite high. They built a house between two small single-family bungalows and the peak of the house is 33 feet. It’s enormous and shouldn’t of been allowed in that particular area.

There is no thought to infrastructure. 20 or 30 extra people using water and sewer system will cause serious problems. The power grid in the area can not take this either.

Have row house going up next to our home. Been nothing but hole in ground since last October. Quite unsightly. Waiting for them to start work. Do they still pay taxes on the hole.

Reasonable densification

Strongly opposed to more than 2 dwellings on a former single dwelling lot.

I completely disagree with this bill!!! I don’t imagine our Mayor or any of the council members would appreciate their neighbours house being torn down and an 8plex being built next door to them. We built in this community understanding and having all single family dwellings surrounding us. To up and change the structure of the community decades later is completely wrong. It will definitely devalue our properties. It’s unfair that we have no vote in this!!!

I do not want 2 - 6 duplexes in our quiet well established neighborhood. We live in this ĺarea because we enjoy our green spaces and less densely populated area.

I believe in single family infills. Stop ruining the neighborhoods with multi family structures on single family lots. The garbage infrastructure cannot house 16 garbage cans on a proposed 8 dwelling multi family structure on a 50X150 lot size. Electrical Transformers and water / sewage need to be upgraded to today’s standards. Parking is also another issue.

Protect the historic neighborhoods

I support infill however the move toward multiple family dwellings on a single lot is highly concerning in terms of infrastructure- water, electricity, garbage removal, parking. These bylaws need to be amended.

We have got to put an end to the senseless destruction of established neighborhoods under the name of density when there is all kinds on undeveloped land within the City's inner core that remains undeveloped because they do not want to invest in the required infrastructure.

There are plans for a 7 unit rental to be constructed on our street on one lot. This unit will degrage the neighborhood and push families with children out of the area. Let's build family friendly homes in our neighborhoods.
