I want to have a well planned solution to meet the housing needs. Simply jamming in high density housing in the neighborhood is a poor plan.

The poor planning in regards to drainage/sewer/water systems with the addition of 24 new units in one block north of 100th Ave is reprehensible. There have been multiple failures in the water management system with associated flooding, road closures and damage to properties in the area. This is not sustainable.

I live in the Hollywood neighbourhood, which is seeing significant development. I support appropriate infill development however I’m seeing eight and six plexes built between small homes (with no garages). Street parking is becoming overcrowded and unsafe for children in the neighborhood.

Develop your damn density on the airport lands - Blatchford or between 102 ave and 104 ave on Stony Plain road or University of Alberta Farm land in city Limits - NOT with 8 plexes in Neighborhoods zoned RF1 for 80+ years!!! You are destroying the fabric of established neighborhoods, for shame.

Because there are better options to build leaving single family homes as is. Destroying neighbouring homes is not proper planning.

The chase for developer profit is destroying existing neighborhoods and stressing infrastructure.

This is lowering property values if not done with consideration of the streets that are allowing an 8plex in between 2 single family homes. Parking has already been an issue. The multi family dwellings should be built on bus routes and major streets and thorough ways, not in the midst of a street that pays higher taxes and as we have paid for street light improvements to beautify their street and improve property values, a developer can put what ever they want, with 0 architectural guidelines

Because I don’t think that our Tax paying money is going to, it should be throughout the city. These infills in the city are not looking out for the best interest of the current owners surrounding the home. They need to start building them as we do not need any more density in the mature areas. It’s ruining landscape of these beautiful communities. It’s blocking sunlight from surrounding homes, bringing them renters here it is the majority of home owners. The builders are not being responsible

It is our homes and destruction of our community is not an option. We bought in this community for the reason of a home not for transients

8 rental units on each lot is unsustainable development that benefits no one.

I am very sad about the neighbourhood destruction and loss of years old trees.

Preserve sufficient sunlight and fresh air reaching surrounding properties/dwellings. What happened to green spaces/trees?!? Neighbourhoods should have a say regarding development in their own neighbourhood - meaningful community consultation. Property value - often negatively impacted by infills, particularly when greater than 2 stories. Parking - there should be a minimum # of stalls, shouldn’t negatively impact surrounding properties/community league parking.

I support ethical infill. What we are facing in Edmonton is an unethical predatory takeover of our neighborhoods with massive poorly constructed multiplexes.

Totally understand they need density but they are destroying neighbourhood. Glad to help fighting to revisit the bylaw.

This bylaws most be reversed in so many ways from rethinking number of units allowed in infills to reviewing what can blindly be put in a corner lot. Homeowners are the ones who make the sacrifice.
