Eight plex’s cause parking problems

These councillors are destroying our communities

STOP the multiplex infill. This is crazy that you think its ok to put an 8 plex towering over houses.

I oppose to multiplexes build on lots where single homes are currently standing. I oppose to crowded multihousing in my neighbourgood. I oppose crowded infill the so cold "affordable housing" that are buing sold for $750K and up.

I am against the 6-8 story infills especially in regards to the Historical areas of the city. The one in 62 Street & 111 Ave is way too large & takes away from the privacy of the neighbours. Why not build along 66 St between 122 & 128 Ave where there are derelict buildings!?

I am not happy about the infills of multiplexes going into our mature neighbourhoods and the complete lack of the City to consult with long time tax payers in these neighbourhoods. Also, I am very upset with the amount of green space and nature trees that are being lost to these large complexes on original single-family lots. These complexes will also reduce the sense of community that has been established in mature neighbourhoods and increase a more transient culture in the community. These projects will also impact our aging sewer systems and electrical grid.

Investor housing works against home ownership. Make it expensive for investors vs homeowners. They each have a place. Residential neighborhoods must have the right to be aware and informed and have a voice. Duplexes- basement suites all great but 8, even 6 units come on????

Housing belongs to the people of edmonton.

Historic neighborhoods should stay historic. These huge 4 plexes are no where near grocery store nor are they in walkable neighborhoods. Start building homes down town

Thanks for doing all this organizing. We have one of those 8-plexes a few doors away, and shared the concerns about parking and impact on infrastructure. Also, it seems all the recent infills (doubles, duplexes, four-plexes) are neither affordable nor family-oriented, so the City's argument on that front is inaccurate.

The new zoning by draw is destroying our neighborhood, violates the architectual integrity, does not take into consideration parking, ignores the limit of infrastructure designed for single family dwellings and has resulted in a full loss of trust in the current city council and the Mayor.

This City Council needs to stop bending to the will of developers and START listening to it’s Citizens!

These new 8 plexes are ruining the neighbourhood

I am a young student living in SherwoodPark and would like to one day buy property in Edmonton. I am signing to protect the market from becoming unaffordable for first time home buyers

The information sessions the city put on fell on deaf ears. The people fascinated them where from a third party company and had no interest in what the public said. Still did everything we all did not want: Higher homes, narrower roads and more unused bike lane. No one wanted any of them, oh sorry maybe 2% of the residents said yes. So there is more people = More cars, less parking less sun, less greenery, cutting down 80 year old trees and planting small shrubs. This is unacceptable. Most counselors should be replaced next election. With a mayor that is one of us.

We have a 10 plex going up beside us with no parking. Crazyiness

I do not want these houses in our neighborhood

Please stop ruining our old neighborhoods with irresponsible densification and no public consultation!
