This bylaw is irresponsible to the citizens that have bought in the neighborhood they have chosen because of the peace and security they found in them. The city mayor and council have undermined those who enjoy their neighborhood like we do here in Menisa. Irresponsibility by the council was also demonstrated by not consulting with fire, police or EMS during the process. Increased parking and traffic with these new developments will be of great concern.

Please rethink the infill policies and bylaws. They are having extremely negative effects on mature neighborhoods, without proper consultation.
A moratorium on new infill permits would be helpful until more consultation and discussion with communities/ citizens is had

We are next to an infill. It will be 8 units in our quiet single home community. There will be no parking ...no place for 16 garba/recycling bins. The building will not have similar setback as the other homes. There is already too much load on the electrical and water. The crime will go up due to the affordable housing and our property will lose value next to this eyesore.

A 2 building unit has been built on a very small lot in Satoo. No back alley for parking. The contractor has had nimerous complaints about shoddy workmanship.
A permit should never been given for this type of dwelling.

An 8 unit row house is slotted to be built beside me. No consultation. No notice until the sign went in the ground. My neighbor can’t build a fence or open a home based business without notifying me…but this can be approved? Not very democratic!

Because I have been directly affected by the densification of my street and it has had a huge negative impact to myself, my neighbors and our properties and security. We are literally paying for the bad decisions and lack of consultation by the city amd have NO recourse for the damages it has caused to our neighborhood.

I live in a mature neighbourhood that already has issues with infrastructure and I’ve watched a 6 unit infill go up mid-block across from me. It was a shoddy build, blocks out the neighbours because it extends 20 feet beyond their neighbours front doors plus it is 2 stories higher. There is no parking and no room for the waste bins because there is also an apartment garage at the back. My neighbours house is about to be sold and I don’t want a monstrosity like this next to me.

Development and redevelopment is important and valuable. But it must be done with respect for the needs of households and communities affected by any changes.

I love our neighborhood and chose to live here because of the green space and low density. Changing the rules without consultation and without considering the consequences is irresponsible and harmful.

There does not seem to be any thought except profit going in to decisions regarding infill development. What has been happening in Crestwood is criminal! I don't want it happening anywhere else in this city.

Yes, we have desirable locations with large lots by the newer standards. We do not want or need huge complexes destroying the integrity of our neighborhood

Infill is destroying the character and charm of mature neighbourhoods. Our street has 4 times the density as 4 years ago and the infrastructure is 1950's and has not been upgraded to support the growth!!

I am a homeowner of a mature neighborhood and I'm seeing a lot of new infills being built without consideration to parking spaces, road limitations and impact on green spaces

We need to protect our family homes in Edmonton. These multi-building units should not be allowed to be built among single family homes. People have an invested in their homes and having a multi-plex unit(s) being constructed next to or just down the street depreciates the homes value. Parking also becomes an issue.
