Densification requires consideration for infrastructure, and parking must be accounted for. Walkable communities might be idyllic, but not realistic to expect that no one owns a car!

These neighborhoods were designed for families. They were not meant to be destroyed by quick in and out companies with no interest in the people who live there.These neighborhoods were more expensive to purchase because of the larger lots and trees streets, parks and schools. There needs to be restrictions in place as to not disturb each other's peace and privacy.

Concern with developer build whatever they want

I have been trying to fight this alone for year’s. There is now an infill adjacent to my property.

I’m concerned there are developers and contractors who buying up properties in the event this bylaw is recinded .

ReZoning Bylaw - formally against 8 plex’s in our old neighbourhoods. Towering above bungalows, zero parking except for the road, impacting the privacy and these so-called affordable homes are not affordable.

We don't have room for parking for all the multi units vehicles

Stop destroying our beautiful neighbourhoods with your personal schemes.

I bought in this neighborhood for the tree lined streets and the bungalows with sun in the backyard and front. It also takes away from first time buyers .

No road infrastructure, building row houses and apartments without permission and traffic issues

This bylaw unfairly penalizes proud single family home owners that are establishing a sense of family and community and respect. There are many other open/vacant land areas to build multiplex units that are not on the neck of a single family home. This bylaw is typical of the. COE and its support of wealthy partners/ businesses and an easy property tax grab, at the cost of its constituents. The COE has lost vision of what Edmonton could and should be.

Enough is enough! City council is creating future slums. Eight households on one property is just insane. It needs to stop, neighbourhoods are being ruined forever.

House next door just sold worried about 8 plex

Six units mid block are not acceptable due to too much density and too many cars parking on street.

In our neighbourhood. Giant multiplexes that go completely from back to front of the lot are the norm. Old houses are losing all light to their backyard. We are currently renting and even if we could afford to buy, we wouldn't. Infills should be built respectfully and they are not.

The water drainage overload is frightening enough let alone the parking problems and congestion on the residential roads .I paid for Solar panels which may not be of any use as well.I built a fairly tall fence for privacy but that wouldn't even work for anymore.Why bother to buy a home on a street of bungalows if you're going to have apartment like structures beside you.We can forget about privacy and our quiet neighborhood. People invest , sometimes their life savings into their homes for this purpose.

Zoning Bylaw 20001 is irresponsible and inconsiderate to say the least. I feel our elected officials and city planners are failing us with this shady bylaw.

We are heart broken with what the City is doing to our historical neighbourhoods.
