To much muti buildings going up. Becoming over crowded not enough room for parking on the roads.

In-fill is one thing…. Skinny’s and Duplex’s. BUT these huge 6 & 8 plex’s with basement suites and/or garage suites are insane! Parking is a whole other problem in the summer, but what about winter and snow removal? Where are all these car’s going to go? All of the current council and especially the city Major - have to go. They do not understand what the citizens of Edmonton want or need.

The new zoning will encourage cheap, shoddy development and not quality affordable housing. It will create huge strain on neighbour infrastructure - road access, sewers, electrical grid, etc. Infill is important. Rampant, overcrowded development is counterproductive.

I have lived in an apartment building for over 28 years. The building is one of 3 on 111 Street. I'm not alone in being fearful of not just my building being demolished, but of the 5 duplexes on 110 Street around 67 Avenue that are generally not in good repair that when sold, will potentially bring an enormous structure into our nice, quaint community.

We don’t want to see 4, 8, or even larger plexes squeezed into midblocks or between family homes. These aren’t real homes — they’re tiny rental boxes that no family can truly thrive in. Replacing family houses with developments carved up for rental profit is not the answer to affordable home ownership. Edmonton families deserve real homes in great communities, not shoebox rentals disguised as “housing.” Every Edmontonian should have the chance to live in a neighbourhood with homes they can afford, own, and proudly call their own.

Duggan already has high density with many apartment and condo complexes. When the LRT was put through to Century Park the City would not listen to our argument to have a stop put in a stop at 43 Ave and 111 Street to give access to all those attending Harry Ainlay High School, Louis St. Laurent High School, Confederation Recreation Centre and the local communities. Now the City is allowing 8-plexes with only street parking saying people will use the LRT instead of a car but it can only be accessed at Southgate or Century Park, not exactly what most people will find handy. This on top of all the other concerns people have addressed here regarding quality of our communities, which I agree with.

The distruction of our beautiful neighborhoods with tall buildings and high density is totally insane.

People’s voices living in these communities voices are being ignored, we looked at the zoning in our areas before buying to make sure we bought in an area that we would be able to live in a safe community, and without any regard for us who already live here & support this city. this city rezones at the developers requests & puts in growth plans that have detrimental affects to community life in our areas before neighborhoods. Forcing people out of there communities that they were hoping to live their whole lives in. It tears apart community life and builds. City of distrust, and individualism with no regard for anyone, not even your neighbours. I thought Edmonton was different and would forge its own future, not just follow the worlds worst city plans I hope this petition gets to someone who stills respect the voice of the people who are building this city, and province, & country.

Property taxes are based on the value of the property. Stop punishing citizens who worked and saved and keep a nice home. Infills need to make sense and provide off street parking.

review each district on its own to determine what kind of housing will fit the area, not blanket permitting

Constructing large-scale developments without meaningful community consultation is irresponsible. While the demand for housing is important, it should not come at the expense of community input.

We do not support infill in our neighborhood.

Please put a moratorium or repeal on the present Zoning Bylaws 20001! One bylaw doesn't suit every neighbourhood. Please return to community consultation, lower size limits to homes, provide appropriate parking and infrastructure, and consider retaining neighbourhood character! Apartment and condo buildings should not be built in the middle of a residential street or cut-de-sac. Please consider safety first, sunshine, retaining trees, and nearby homes!
