The multiplex properties need to be limited and carefully planned. The current system is not working how it should be.

There's absolutely no reason to upset the people of neighbourhoods as they stand. Council she be ashamed of what they're doing. Why can't the 6 and 8 suite buildings be put up in the new neighbourhoods not in the mature ones!!!!! Common sense????

Please consult first with residents in each zoning area/ neighbourhood! Infills look ugly in matured older neighbourhoods.

An RR lot behind my home recently got approved to RSF ignoring the hundreds of community residents who were against this. Only one person was for it and that was the owner and his consultant who is a former city planner. (100 Windermere crescent). This lot is 1.4 acres and now this man can subdivide this lot to several mini RSF lots maximizing multiplexes if he wants. We said we were okay with rezoning but this gives the owner too much freedom to ruin the entire community without any input. Council did not care and approved it.

I am strongly opposed to multi unit housing being built within our (or any) established communities, especially ones where the homeowners invested millions of dollars for a certain feel and lifestyle. Ruining beautiful green areas and the environment around these neighborhoods all for the almighty dollar is so wrong and once done will never be undone. There is plenty of multi unit housing going up around Edmonton, and sticking these terrible eyesores within amazing neighborhoods will ruin them and destroy the feel/value of these places.

Dont ruin our neighborhoods. People buy homes in these area because they want to live in nice, home owner, quiet neighborhoods. If you want condensed living pick an area and do it in certain spots. Then people can choose to live there, or choose a quiet neighborhood if they like. A huge rental unit out of place, beside someones nice home is a property devaluing, privacy eroding, invasively congesting, infrastructure overloading eye sore. Its an obscene disrespect to hardworking Edmontonians of all walks of life that choose to invest, and live in a neighborhood they like. There are many suitable places to put multi unit rentals. Keep them separate from single family homes and let people decide where they want to live.

Do not put anything but a park on the heritage site at 111ave and 61 street. I don’t want the value of my home to drop.. We need to go back to our old rezoning for the sake of our old neighborhoods.

Residential properties zoned for higher density infill have taxation value to the City of Edmonton primarily because we, the signatories, reside in and make improvements to our own properties. The current bylaw 20001 denies the diversity of voices that make up our civic community; it runs roughshod over the inclusion in decision-making; it strips equity from owner-occupiers and hands all entitlement to non-resident developers who have no skin in the game of urban growth solutions.
We have lived here. We live here. We will live here. But will we live long and prosper?

This has gotten out of hand! Despite fighting with the city about a development on our block, the city approved it anyways. The builder (Copperstone) faulted on payments to owed parties, and eventually left the province leaving behind a giant hole of 3 lots with poured foundations in our neighborhood, tearing down all the trees with them.. This lot has been untouched for over 4 years now.
Located on 123street between 111ave and 112ave.
This has to stop!
