My once quiet and humble neighbourhood has been turned into a chaos of cars, garbage bins, abandoned lots growing weeds, monstrosities calling themselves housing. I cannot imagine what is next and how the very old infrastructure of sewers will handle it. Please listen to your constituents. Put a moratorium on infill until sensible discussions can be held.

This by-law disregards the rights of property owners to have some level of certainty over what the community they live in will become. Passing this by-law was an abdication of city’s urban planning responsibilities. It was lazy and demonstrated a lack of respect and understanding of the people who live in older neighbourhoods in Edmonton.

An 8 unit condo is being built at a four-way stop near me. This is insane just from a parking perspective nevermind congestion. The density of in-fills is insane.

The mondo 8-12 unit infills with zero or limited parking is problematic for traffic and child safety. As well they create unrealistic drainage and foundation damage to nearby older homes. Plus there’s zero room for even their garbage bins
