I’ve dealt with developers putting an infill next to my home. A setback variance was approved and I now have to view a towering 2 story cube from my living room window. It was a double fill each with basement suites and now 6 adults each with a vehicle live next door parking is a nightmare. The fence I paid for was damaged by excavation and NEVER repaired by developer. It’s only getting worse. Every councillor should have an infill built next door to their home.

8 unit housing is ridiculous and harmful. I lived in one and it was supposed to be affordable, but it was $1500 for a single room. And it was small and unfinished and every part of it was lazy, no paint only primer, electrical was bullshhhh and parking was AWFUL

The city has no clue on preserving the aesthetics of neighbourhoods. there is no plan and no reguard for existing home owners. I want this council out!! The houses that are torn down sometimes are in perfect condition and are made of far superior building materials that should be salvaged, not just put in landfill.

Stop the infills on ADA/higlands!!!! Cromdale deemed standards of 1940 style homes on their Jasper Ave street and has worked to maintain the beauty. Ada is Edmonton’s DNA and an ICONIC street that shapes our city

The lack of consideration to those of us who chose to BUY our homes based on the density and surroundings of the neighborhood is deplorable and beyond belief. The govt and developers idea of infill has NOTHING to do with "affordable housing" its about making money on taxes and overpriced smaller homes.

In the last few years, I've started to see the nice old homes getting torn down and replaced with these tall double structures. These structures look beautiful but are not for this neighborhood. I value my neighborhood the way it is. I love my yard and privacy. I don't want one of these tall things popping up next to me and infringing on my right to have a private area in my backyard.

Although I currently live in a newer neighbourhood, my past residence have both Malmo and Parkallen. These areas were developed at a time when the infrastructure demands were considerably less. Having lived in Parkallen I am fully aware of the stress and congestion created by forcing greater numbers of people than the area was designed to accommodate. Has there been no studies conducted to determine the appropriate population density for these older neighborhoods?
