Another example of the disregard that this current council has for its residents. Bring back the former overlay guidelines

I bought my house last year with my small family because we wanted to have a tree-lined, quiet, and bigger lot house, despite the house being old. I want to protect my child and family from encountering unmanaged 8-plex units without parking lots and appropriate limitations in them.

The construction of monster infill units on single city lots destroy the value of adjacent properties degrade the appeal of existing communities.

Please stop this infill ruining madness

48 dwelling unit with 8 parking stalls accross from a 8 suite building with 0 stalls beside my house. Where do these 100 cars park…..

The manifest effects of the current bylaw are beyond what the citizens of would have expect or desired. Generally, the idea of densification is well accepted, but monolithic complexes that are not in keeping with the nature of the neighbourhoods is not acceptable.

The rezoning is a disaster, no parking is provided for new infills and whether we like it or not, we do not have the infastructure or climate for a vehicle free neighborhood. These multi unit infils are affecting current residential issues and causing property values to drop, yet my taxes haven’t dropped. Not to mention I can’t have people visit because they can’t park. Emergency vehicles can barely get down our street due to over parking.

Repeal Edmonton’s Zoning Bylaw 20001

City council should not be allowed to destroy peoples dreams of owning a single family home, surrounded by single family homes.

Attended the information session on infill, sept 22, at Duggan hall, even more disappointing about how council has handled infill in the city and lack of consultation with residents!!

Maybe 2 skinny houses would be better.

Please keep our neighborhoods family friendly, with smart parking options, and not decrease the livability of those who have out so much into restoring older home and being energy efficient.

It seems that the planners and builders don't live in the communities they are destroying. and so have little regard for their intrusion.

Please be respectful of current neighbourhood structuring

City council has no regard for existing communities and are only interested in increasing taxes collected from these infill buildings, otherwise they would have implemented these changes in stages to see the effect on the communities.

I think the current bylaw needs to be changed and the public should be included in decisions relating to their neighborhoods.

This is unacceptable housing for a beautiful mature neighborhood! I’ve been living here for 65 yrs! Looking around, everytime a house gets sold a fence goes up around it and then it gets torn down.
