I am a proud owner of a home in the Duggan community where I have volunteered as a coach and mentor for our youth. I have raised three children in my neighbourhood and know my neighbours. I have no desire to have multi family units, traffic and congestion where I live. Even four units is unacceptable. Single family should stay single family. There has been no consideration of the rights of residents in mature communities. City Council has pushed this bylaw through without consultation and I am disgusted by the way this bylaw was put into effect, Why wasn't this advertised and why didn't get anything in my mailbox like my tax notice.

No six and eight-plexes mid-block. They block sun, solar panels and reduce greenery. They increase light and noise pollution, traffic and parking congestion, and put extra strain on sewers and add garbage odour and mess. Construction also destroys back-alley pavement. And property values plummet.

I do not agree with the new city of edmonton zoning laws that allow huge structures with 12 vehicles and no consideration for how it does not fit in with the other homes around it. What if the neighbor had solar panels installed last year??

There is a couple of these in fill multifamily developments going in. One on 87th Ave. between 156 and 157th St. and another one on 83rd Ave. directly beside Lynnwood school. Single-family homes were torn down and multifamily units were zoned by the city and approved This needs to stop NOW

Infill housing is required but needs to have significantly tighter restrictions both in height (they should not taller than surrounding dwellings) and density (this impacts parking and greater, unplanned for, traffic density).

When I moved into my Old Strathcona house 30 years ago, there were 16 houses on my block. Now there are only 8. Now Single family houses make up less than 45 % in our hood. Everytime a house goes up for sale developers grab it and put 4, 6, and now EIGHT units on a single lot. It feels like council has declared war on single family houses in Mature Neighbourhoods. This entire council needs to be replaced.

Oh yes this whole clear as mud "infill" concept. With a green light from city, its more like Developers stressing, destroying and infiltrating our mature neighbohood. There is absolutely no concern for the day to day impact on long time area residents. The city choosing to "re-zone" or open up a development frenzys at same time as an LRT build in our community is absolutely inhumane! City only cares about $$$. It's impacting our overall wellbeing. Time to get out! Pray we get there

Multi unit dwellings are destroying our mature neighbourhood. The home next to me is listed for sale. It is a fairly large lot and will likely be torn down. The listing realtor has told me that this lot (and 1952 build presently on the lot) will likely be snapped up by developers with the intent of building a six-plex, or even eight-plex It is not a corner lot. Parking is already tight on our street. There is a huge tree in the yard of the lot next door, which we estimate to be at least 100 years old, that provides wonderful coverage and privacy to our yard. My home is an infill (a "skinny home") purchased new in March of 2021. I saved for my whole life to be able to purchase this home. My property value will be decimated if a multiplex is built next door. As there was no other way to protect our neighbourhood and the value of my home, I attempted to purchase the property next door and made two offers. The list price is incredibly high (nearly $400,000) and I am now out of the running. I may need to sell my dream home if multiplex development proceeds next door, but am also worried that the value of my home will be so depleted, due to the multiplex next door, that I won't be able to derive enough value from the sale to purchase something to meet my needs.
