I am against the city of Edmonton proposed construction of a five story, 171 unit subsidize housing complex in the green space beside Elizabeth Seton school in Belmont elementary.

This city council has lost its mind With the things they are a approving and doing. This apartment building is a monstrosity and does not fit into the layout of the neighborhood.

I do not agree with the proposed 5 Storey development for the Belmont Surplus school site! The neighbourhood should have a say and be engaged in what is built there.

Do not put a massive housing property on the school grounds between Elizabeth seton and Belmont school. I am in that neighborhood and currently the car traffic on our residential road is insane at times. Especially during rush hour and school drop off times. It is hard to back out of our driveway due to the high volume of traffic. Adding more vehicles will make the traffic even worse. This neighborhood is full enough. Also do not remove the bus trap by Belmont school it will make traffic on both side much worse.

114 Avenue 105 Street has a 10 Plex on the corner, an 8 Plex two doors away from it and the developer who owns all three lots wants to make an 8 plex in between these. That is 26 units on 3 lots! 2 hour parking is on the street due to Nate students and RAH and Glenrose Hospital staff parking there as well. Some houses illegally rent to 6 it 8 NAIT Students and the city does nothing! Our quality of life is ruined! The fill and no parking stalls required byelaws need to be removed immediately!

These infill housing units are destroying mature neighborhoods appeal and house value. The city needs to wake up, no one in these neighborhoods wants these infill homes. How about we build them all around our city counselors homes instead...they all seem to like them.

This 5 story proposal is against every thoughtful & appropriate use of this space. It compromises privacy of my grand daughters playing in their back yard, increases traffic in an already congested area, will increase safety of the school children and residents of homes in the area, shall I go on????

The city lied about the building size. They sent out a community open house after the event happened. They went from 45 units to 171 units

The zoning change they pushed through is allowing a 5 story 171 unit low income building to go up directly across the street blocking all the sun to my solar array and robbing me of privacy in my own backyard. Zero explanations as to how this is benefiting the community.

The zone changes that were made to allow for multiunit dwellings in a single family neighborhood, need to be recinded.

This bylaw is out of control. The city council has not listened to the people of Edmonton, bowing to the developers that are building these units. They do not help first time buyers, and low income people.
Residential neighborhood all bungalows
