We have a huge infill that has been approved beside our property at 9322-168 St. This is going to take over our newly commissioned solar system and all our backyard privacy and front view out our living room window. I have appealed and our hearing date is on Feb 20th. I ask for any support and help I may be able to get. Thanks for your time.

The city is making their own decisions on how the area should be redeployed. My concern is infill within mature neighbourhoods

I am very much against the infill project and the multi level housing in this neighborhood, it is a thoughtless venture with no consideration to those of us that have lived there for years. If I wanted to be in a multi housing neighborhood, I would have purchased in that type of area! No parking, I can't even get my trailer out on most days due to parking on both sides of narrow roads. I am tired of listening to building construction every day all day and the rudeness of the workers, most of them don't even speak English! There is no respect for those of us in these types of neighborhoods, and the City does not seem to care which I find most disconcerting!

How did these 8 plex building be approved in the first place. The person or persons should be legally held reasonable for this to be allowed to happen.

If a large infill property came into my neighborhood it would destroy the livability and I would move to Sherwood park.

I want to continue to enjoy my mature neighborhood. I enjoy working in my yard and enjoying outbreaks sunny days outside with family. To imagine an apartment style building running the entire length of my backyard would take this completely away. No longer able to enjoy my backyard. Along with. Isitirs no longer coming by as parking would be impossible.

In addition to the 3 phases on the petition, every dwelling unit built should have one parking stall, either outside or in a garage. Example: an 8-plex should have 8 parking stalls.

I feel that by building these 6 or 8 multi dwellings do not serve to better the community but to make it a more transient place to live. Never mind the lack of parking or privacy that a homeowner deserves in saving and purchasing a single family dwelling. And the sneaky way the city initially passed all this just proof they knew it wasn't a great idea. hope this make sense I am so angry about this I can't even articulate without sounding elitist or more deserving. But I worked hard to get here and went through nothing but hoops to build my infill (single family) home and have lived in this neighbourhood for 30 years and feel that I have every right to request that ALL multi dwellings (except maybe duplex) be banned and we go back to the mature overlays, that I had to follow 11 years ago. again I hope this makes sense.

We must advocate to prevent outsiders from changing the character of our communities that we have invested our life's savings in, for the housing attributes they offer.

What City of Edmonton has done is absolutely appalling. They have no regard for the consequences of their actions and how they were ruining neighborhoods.
