Edmonton City Council has made a grave mistake with #20001 and it needs to be rectified immediately and not just by the Council alone but only with the public’s consent for provisions that need to be implemented and proper location for zoning of these buildings they are allowing with #20001.

Too many infields with large amounts of units and no parking. Snow Removal is already a disaster. This makes it worse for all residents no matter where they’re from.
The large complex is being built on small areas takes away from property values, and the neighbourhood overall. None of this is what citizens want.
Stop spending money on useless programs and use taxpayer money wisely

The number of current and emerging infills in our area is ridiculous, especially 8-16 plexes being created and all corner lots being snapped up by developers for these units. I accept that we need to accommodate a growing population and that urban sprawl provides a limited response. However, many of these new units in mature neighbourhoods are unreasonably large; blocking sun and sky light from smaller homes; and are just unsightly. Who approved the gargantuan height on the new build on 79 st just north of 90 Ave? So ugly. I agree with a maximum of 4 units on a lot, with further height restrictions than have been approved. Further, there are parking issues already visible from multi-plexes, and with a proposed bike lane coming on 79 st, this will continue to be a problem.

If they do this they need to drastically reduce taxes to the original home owners as it really drops house value.

This is very concerning, these 8 plexes . they are going up everywhere in the older urban areas and causing issue with existing housing. It seems they block out the sun from the existing bungalows and now street parking is at a minimal This I have 4 churches with my area that already crowd the parking and now they are erecting these monstrosity.

I bought into Delton 30+ years ago. It was the ideal older neighbourhood in my budget. I love the old trees, the quiet streets. But now with infill 3 to 4 store high buildings; along with the blocking and barricading constructed for the bike lanes. These lanes barely get used & they block access to the tax payers home & to emergency vehicles. I've witnessed them having to detour to access an emergency.

I am NOT in favor of INFILL in mature neighborhoods. City Council needs to find an alternative solution to the over population.

A 7 or 8 plex is not fitting into the neighborhood. No larger than a 4 plex should be allowed

I bought this property for a reason
and it was not to have a monster house over look my back yard. We will have no privacy at all, no parking, garbage. The value of what I paid will go down by $150,000.00

These big monstrosities are not ok in any neighbourhood so please listen and stop these that nobody wants in their neighbourhood. Maybe put some in your neighbourhood and see how your neighbours like it.

Countless properties like this have popped up in the area over the last few years.. they dont do anything positive for the neighborhoods they are in... The only people happy about these homes are the people making a fortune building and selling them, I've lived directly next door to one such property for 3-4 years and the duplex has gone through 7 families... That's just the vehicle aspect... What about blocking my view/Sun access for gardens having a massive house build nearly right up against my fence with very clear views into my yard? More cars/people means more noise and that's without considering the endless construction and disruptions that come from that being next door.. what about other major issues like drainage impact? Or simply ripping out the trees and grass that the old single family home had for more concrete... Those are real issues before even getting into the "possible" issues such as greater population density often leads to more crime, or sewer capacity, water pressure, garbage collection, school and local service density.. all of these are issues that are more likely than not but still not gaurenteed like some of the others I mentioned..

Absolutely a mess, zero parking, emergency routes not thought through. Water & electricity not taken into consideration. Leave Riverdale as a beautiful historical area!
