Our neighbours are being tore down and bringing the value down to our properties. We all made a big effort to have our houses and this is destroying our communities. All the new buildings are sitting there just empty, with lawns not being taken care of in the summer and icy sidewalks on winter, because nobody is being responsible for them. Also, tearing down huge windows ls trees is a big thing! They are not giving anything in exchange for them. Also, ridiculously pricy!!! Affordable housing???

Preserving the character of our older neighborhoods is important! There are bette ways to increase density.

We are seeing several 8 unit complexes going up on single lots in our neighborhood. These units do not include parking and will strain our current infrastructure. We are all in for responsible densification and infill but this is not acceptable. There should be a limit of 4 units per lot with some parking included. Architectural guidelines should be established and followed. Many of these new units are square boxes and the character of the neighborhood is ignored and being impacted.

In the last 3 months one developer has purchase 7 of the 12 houses on my immediate 1/2 block along 88 ave between 147th and 148th street, including 5 in a row and 2 in a row across the street. This is not logical planned and strategic densification, it is an invasion that will convert what was a lovely street in an older established neighbourhood with starter homes for young families to a warehouse like zone of cookie cutter 8-plexes. Responsible infill is welcomed, this is not.

We have lived in our neighborhood for 29 years and do not want to see infills of 6 or 8 plexes change the quietness of the area. There are more than enough condos being built nearby at the U of A land off Whitemud & 51 Ave

City Mayor, councillors need to know the seriousness of this situation.

Because these gypsy politicians don’t give foresight to the future and others quality of living unless they can make a dollar.

Many people have invested in homes in a given neighborhood because they like the neighborhood and intend to stay there for years. When developers come in to destroy the ambiance of that neighnorhood with oversized housing, it destroys what the original owners have invested in. It’s like bullies taking over the neighborhood. And the city council is supporting this with no recognition of the inequity of the situation

Infill housing has brought B&B partiers ladies of the night and drugs along with parking problems , put one on either side of the councillors and mayor but stay out of our neighborhood

Edmonton is now acknowledged to be a 15-Minute City. We were not consulted and do not agree.

Aggressive infill and profiteering is threatening my home and my neighborhood, rather than focusing on vacant problem lots or building to existing density rules.

Lots of these issues in my Old Strathcona neighbourhood.

Rampant overfill is not the way to go. With shoddy construction the neighborhoods are going to turn into slums, parking congestion is going to be a safety headache for Emergency Services and where do all of the the garbage bins go

We do not have the necessary infrastructure to support the population influx or the actual power, roads, hospitals, etc.and then, loss of trees, neighbourhood look, parking, sunlight, and the list goes on.

Infill is running rampant in the Jasper place neighbourhood. Neighbouring lots with no room,no parking, and no sunlight. Infill with improper drainage, no landscaping or vacant in terms of the “skinny houses” with no one to maintain the property.

City council no longer listen to citizens of the city they represent.
