To maintain the heritage and beauty of old neighborhoods. Building multi family dewellings where a single home used to reside on a 33 foot lot will turn these neighborhoods into Compton!

Responsible infill is acceptable and encouraged so long as it is providing affordable housing. However, the current trend is to approve large multi dwelling units on, what were previously single-family lots, with little consideration for parking and impact on the community in terms of garbage collection, etc.

Very concerned about putting 8 plexes in single family dwelling neighbourhoods without providing adequate off street parking. These monster buildings do not fit in with existing infrastructure:

It has gotten out of hand. 8 units where there used to be 1. Bad management.

I’m signing because building these 8 plexes, is not going to fix the problems we are having with housing. It’s not going to add much revenue for the city. It is destroying the manor of our older neighborhoods that people move to because we don’t have this crap. Edmonton City council better start listening to its citizens.

This has gone beyond ridiculous! There is a large complex going up in our neighbourhood on a tiny keyhole crescent. It's not even on the end of the crescent, but right in the middle! Of a tiny keyhole crescent. Makes you wonder about the competency of anyone involved in this, thus makes you wonder about their competency about ANYTHING!

Current zoning only favours developers and leaves all the followup issues on the remaining residence. Each development MUST provide off street packing for every unit developed, height restrictions must account for solar panels on adjacent residences, infrastructure (Water, Sewer, power, roads) must be upgraded to accommodate increased density.

The City can't reasonably argue that we should all have solar, we invest in it, and then someone knocks the neighbour's bungalow down and builds a three storey, eight unit monstrosity that shades all the neighboring homes. It's incoherent public policy, infill needs to respect ecological priorities.

Seeing approved and built multiplex units that don’t suit the vibe of the street or surroundings. We and other people have invested to be in such neighbourhood for the peace and quiet. Now there are concerns with more cars passing by this park/playground where kids play………more congestion in such a small area increasing the risk of accidents/incidents……but such structures depreciate the value of our property/neighbourhood.

I purchased my home in a single family neighbourhood for a reason. Changing the zoning could mean I could have up to 16 neighbours in an 8 plex. The city shouldn’t have the right to change our neighborhood with cheaply built, poorly maintained multiplexes.
