Have seen the the dwarfing of single family home by 8 flex, shading yard and insufficient parking. Loss of character of mature neighbourhood. Infrastructure does not support. School was closed and roadways already insufficient.

Support for urban growth shouldn’t mean accepting any and all development without standards. Responsible infill complements the scale and character of mature neighbourhoods while adding gradual density; blanket deregulation simply rewards maximum unit counts at the expense of community livability. We need clear limits and accountable planning.

My wife and I had to attend post secondary schooling, get jobs, prove ourselves to be good employees and continue to work hard and advance ourselves. Only then did we make enough money to afford to live in the house and neighborhood we are in now. We recently bought our neighbors house to protect our neighborhoods property values, as it was older and surely would have been replaced with high density RENTALS!

Infill is inevitable, but let's do it along with maintaining the trees, safe streets with room for vehicles, and changes that will keep our property values from decreasing so dramatically that we are forced to leave the place we love before we can't afford to do so.

I live in wedgewood where we have a small beautiful park with houses all around. City is allowing to built a 60 ugly unit condo on our beautiful small park.
The park is used by many many people for several sports and daily physical activity.
We wedgewood owners have to pay an annual fee to maintain this beautiful park. We have been fighting against this ugly complex for years but no politician is listening to us the citizens. Please stop this abomination. Thank you

The multiunits need to stop. There are too many reasons to mention. The building is effecting residents value in their neighbourhood! If you purchased a home for $500,000 and the following year you end up with a multiplex unit beside you, good luck selling! These structures will drive down the value of your home and reduce the desire that buyers once had for this location. If the value of my home decreases because of these buildings, will the city be reassessing the value and take less tax??

Our communities are not built for and do not have the capacity for these buildings. There are lots of open and unused buildings that can be repurposed for creating better multi unit housing. And that would not encompass homes where we have spent our hard earned time and money to create beautiful neighborhoods for our families and do not appreciate these multi unit properties destroying and encroaching on our rights, safety and freedoms.

I know what is like I had a little house in an old neighborhood and they started with one that was a 10 plex no parking for it bike lanes in the front of if it so no parking there then next door to me a 8 plex was going to be built and the other corner was now a 10 plex too sold my house before that was al built and done the old street looks bad happy I got out when I did but do not like seen what it is doing to these neighborhoods

The city must go back to how the city was designed and planned our neighbourhoods and leave single family neighbourhoods alone and not allow multi family complexes to be seeded into mature neighbourhoods next to single family homes. Multi family complexes need to be grouped into areas with other multi family complexes and it needs to remain that way.

Urban density has to be built responsibly and not rushed like it is now. At the moment beautiful neighborhoods are being destroyed by greed maximizing lots to make the most money with zero consideration of other factors than money.
