I hope this petition reached the right person especially the Governor of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank. I also hope that the BOARD of the Bank pays attention to the public's opinion of them!

The Staff is the heart of any Organization. Rights and respect are always due. A fair days pay for a fair days work. That's all they ask.

The escalating conflict between 1st National Bank of St. Lucia and its employees echoes the teachers’ strike of the 1970s, where workers also fought for fairness and respect.
Today, the bank staff’s demand for fair wages in the face of rising living costs has been met with harsh measures from the Board, exposing deep-rooted issues of nepotism and misuse of power.
Just like back then, the fight for workers’ rights must be respected.
For real change, the Board needs to dismantle these conflicts of interest and commit to transparency, fairness, and accountability.

Look at the composition of the board and see why there is so much political interference from the Labour Commisioner to the Union. Cabinet Secretary Degazon, Mayor Geraldine Lendor, SLP executive member Tedbuet Theobalds, Senator Mauricia Francis... all politically exposed persons areon that board. Plus we have the husband of the Labour Minister as HR advisor to the Bank's Board. How can the staff get justice when the people who are supposed to protect them are in it for themselves and to serve a political agenda? Shame on all parties

The HR department is supposed to be working in the best interest of both the workers and the company.

This kind of injustice cannot continue.
If the Labour department has given a recommendation, why has the board not complied.

It's high time the staff receive their profit sharing and increments. Staff have resigned and retired and no gratuity and profit sharing have paid. It's been years.. year after year after year and nothing has been done. On top of that the disrespect towards the staff. Placing police at the door, and Locking them out, preventing them from using the washroom and kitchen or even the financial service. The chairman must go. He needs to go. Too much conflict of interest here... Give the staff their money you owe them

I support any group of young professionals standing up to unfair treatment and abuse of power. There is too much nepotism and misuses of power in Saint Lucia that goes unchecked, permitting these individuals to feel invincible and treat others like they are inferior. 2024 is the year of truth!

The government's labour commissioner, the labour minister and the union are in league with the Bank's board! The poor staff are left out in the wind owth no one to protect them. Such a shame and 1st National Bank's wants to get rewards over the blood, sweat and tears of these same employees that they illtreat. I SAY NEVER. 1ST NATIONAL BANK DOES NOT DESERVE ANY AWARD. DO NOT VOTE FOR THEM!
