Petition to Reschedule Dialog Schools Rugby Knockout Matches on Sunday, 4th May

We, the rugby community of Sri Lanka — players, parents, supporters, and fans — kindly request the organizers of the Dialog Schools Rugby Knockout Tournament to reschedule the matches planned for Sunday, 4th May 2025, by one day.

On the same day, the Sri Lanka National Team will take on the New Zealand U85kg Team in a historic international fixture. This is a significant moment for Sri Lankan rugby, and many students, families, and rugby fans would love the opportunity to support both our school teams and our national side without a scheduling conflict.

The current clash forces players and fans to choose between two important events, reducing attendance and enthusiasm for both. By moving the school matches by a day, we can show united support for our national team while maintaining the spirit and excitement of the school rugby knockouts.

We respectfully urge the Sri Lanka Schools Rugby Football Association (SLSRFA) and all relevant organizers to consider this request in the best interests of Sri Lankan rugby as a whole.
