Why would an organization created to promote student athletes, schools and sports within the State of Tennessee allow playoff games or regional contest to be played in another state?

Why send our student athletes to another state to compete for a chance for a Tennessee state title? Why send our hard earned tax dollars to another state? Let's promote our state, create revenue for our businesses and promote the assets of this state....not neighboring ones.

The purpose of this petition is very simple. We are asking the TSSAA to simply adopt a policy where all TSSAA sanctioned playoff or regional games/contest must be played at a facility that is located within the boundaries of the State of Tennessee. The local committees and schools will still have complete flexibility as to where and when to host these events....as long as they are hosted within the State of Tennessee.
