Request to Wirral Borough Council to improve unsafe underpasses in New Ferry

WBC prove you care about the safety of residents.

This underpass is dark and dingy even in daylight. It looks unkempt, it's smells of urine a lot of the time and it's not safe to walk through due to unsavoury characters hanging around it. It's a much shorter route for people to walk though to get to the shops, medical centre, chemist and local transport but people feel unsafe going through it so have to walk the longer route.

Govern For The People

I use the one by Beaconsfield. In a really bad way!! Wouldn't go that way in the dark.

I would like the subway to be lit and clearer it is dangerous and disgusting we pay enough in council tax almost £200 a month

This underpass is long overdue a refurb. The lack of lights makes it feel very unsafe to use at night.

Needs light

I live on Easton Road and have to walk through to get to the vets, I often think how little effort it would take to give it a nice clean up! New lighting and either a fresh paint or jet wash the paint off the original tiles would go such a long way.

Needs sorting asap lighting and cleaning

Can’t we have a caged walk way/ bridge over the bypass instead of the subway. At least they won’t have to put lights up It is awful going through this. I have lived here for 25 years and it has never been safe to use.

This needs resolving urgently, we cannot safely use it!

It's unsafe for our citizens, its dirty, dangerous and frequented by drug - dealers. .. We pay our taxes, please get this resolved for tbe residents!!

Dark, horrible, unsafe, graffiti all over the walls

I live in New Ferry and agree it needs sorting ASAP it's intimidating for some and disgusting

The majority of New Ferry is being regenerated after the awful gas explosion. This subway needs to be safe to use, it will also prevent anti social behaviour in the area.
