I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to bring to your attention a significant concern regarding the artificial scents and perfumes currently being used in the mall's entrances, corridors, and halls. As a frequent visitor to the mall, I, along with many others, have experienced severe discomfort and reactive symptoms due to these artificial fragrances.

Health Concerns:
These artificial scents are not only overwhelming but are also causing immediate health symptoms for many shoppers, including:
- Headaches and nausea
- Burning eyes and a runny or blocked nose
- Triggering migraines
- Exacerbating respiratory conditions such as asthma
- Discomfort for both adults and young children

Many individuals, including myself, are forced to cut shopping trips short or avoid visiting the mall altogether because of the adverse effects caused by these scents.

Toxicity of Artificial Scents:
There is growing scientific evidence that artificial fragrances contain chemicals that are harmful to human health. These scents often include: phthalates, benzene derivatives, and other volatile organic compounds (VOCs); which have been linked to numerous health issues. Studies have shown that exposure to synthetic fragrances can cause a variety of symptoms, including:
- Headaches and dizziness
- Nausea and vomiting
- Eye, nose, and throat irritation
- Respiratory distress and worsened asthma symptoms

Furthermore, the American Lung Association has highlighted that VOCs found in these artificial scents contribute to poor indoor air quality, which can significantly affect individuals with pre-existing health conditions, particularly those with respiratory and neurological sensitivities.

Request for Action:
In light of these concerns, I kindly request that the mall management considers removing or reducing the use of artificial scents in shared spaces, or switching to safer, fragrance-free alternatives. This would greatly improve the shopping experience for all visitors. By taking this action, the mall can demonstrate its commitment to the health and well-being of its visitors and create a safer, more pleasant shopping environment. This would also encourage more foot traffic, as many shoppers are currently opting to avoid malls in favor of shopping online due to these issues.

I trust that you will consider this request and take the necessary steps to ensure a healthier, more comfortable environment for everyone. I would be more than happy to discuss this further if needed, and I appreciate your cooperation in making our shopping experience safer and more enjoyable.

Thank you for your time and attention to this important matter.

Best wishes
