Between 2006 and 2016, nearly 2.2 billion dollars contribution of the Petro Caribe Energy Cooperation Agreement to Haiti, which supposed to improve the life of millions of Haitians, seem to be siphoned away. The Petro Caribe Energy Cooperation Agreement is an oil alliance of many Caribbean states, including Haiti, with Venezuela, to purchase oil from Venezuela, on conditions of preferential payment over a long term period, to promote economic development in the region.

This petition represents a global movement to request signatures of socially responsible citizen to urge the current President of Haiti: Jovenel Moise, to hire a reliable international accounting firm, to investigate and find out if there was really a conspiracy between Haitian officials and a few private companies, to embezzle 2.2 billion dollars of the Petro Caribe Development Fund, as rumors keep spreading out through the traditional and social media.

This movement aims not only at restoring the truth on the allocation of the resources from the Petro Caribe Agreement, but also at promoting the need for a better management of public funds in Haiti, towards a better future for the Haitian population; a future emphasizing on poverty alleviation, social inclusion and economic development, that could lower, even stop the flow of illegal immigration from Haiti to Latin America and North America.
