Our eagles are so important and to destroy a nesting site is unthinkable. when they are being killed by wine turbines. A public meeting is necessary for the neighborhood to work with the future of the site.

Once trees are cut down, eagles no longer have nesting sites, buildings are torn down, and landscaping is lost - the Talaris Site will never be the same and we will have lost a true treasure of Seattle history and environmental protection.

Please slow down the process regarding Talaris. It is a lovely place, home to many animals, and much loved and used park space for Laurelhurstt. Once drained, filled and paved it will be gone from our city forever. Plus traffic to this area is already beyond capacity.

I am a homeowner at 4311 37th Ave. NE. I believe that the preservation of this site is a vital community resource, and that the current plan for development will have a strongly negative impact on property values throughout Laurelhurst. Planners should not betrayexisting communities.

Environmentally, this is a highly valuable piece of land and needs to be protected. We cannot continue to clear wooded areas near wetlands, they provide crucial habitat and incalculable benefits. Do the right thing and protect this open space.
