Request to celebrate the life of a Legend, Kobe Bryant, with an Official Day in California
Dear Governor Newsom,
Yesterday the city of Los Angeles, the country, and the world tragically lost a hero, a role model, but most of all a LEGEND. Kobe Bryant was a symbol of Los Angeles and his work ethic, dedication, and MAMBA MENTALITY is something to strive for in our everyday lives, no matter what we do.
Though his memory will live on forever in Los Angeles, I and the undersigned are requesting an Official Day on January 26th, the day of his passing, to immortalize and celebrate his life as one of the best, A LEGEND, THE BLACK MAMBA, KOBE BRYANT.
Once again, as citizens of the amazing state of California and the rest of the country, we are requesting to have an Official Day in celebration of one of the greatest, KOBE BRYANT.
The undersigned and I truly appreciate your consideration.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many people have joined this effort to honor Kobe. This momentum belongs entirely to the community that keeps his legacy alive.

Legends never die. Mamba Mentality lives on in all of us.
Still feels like a bad dream. He deserves a day for sure.
He taught me everything about working hard. This is the least we can do.
The man changed the game forever. We really need this day to remember what he did for LA.
