Please denounce this demon

I agree with the gist of this, a stern correction is needed. But the problem will not be solved solely by a rebuke from hierarchy. The homosexuals must embrace that society has lied to them, and they were NOT born that way - they have chosen, even if greatly under duress, to be that way. They are sinners who must repent. They need repentance, not tolerance.

Lord Have Mercy

Orthodoxy is unique among ecclesial gatherings in that it is not an "organization" per se, but a body of teaching. An Orthodox Christian is someone who adheres to that body of teaching, and an Orthodox Church is a gathering of such Christians where that teaching is preserved, protected and taught. Regardless of what they may casll themselves, or the organizational affiliations they boast or the awards and honors they have managed to have bestowed on them, individuals and ecclesial groups which deviate, or advocate deviating,. from that teaching, are not Orthodox. The people and "churches" cited here are heretics, not Christians--and certainly not Orthodox Christians., and have no business being admitted to Communion in any Orthodox church.

Dear Bishops, please stand up for the Church and defend it against these demonic attacks by progressive activists and by subversives in the Church. The LGBT movement must be opposed, firmly rebuked, and condemned, and its unrepentant supporters must be deposed and expelled. May the Lord guide you to defend the truth with a firm hand and love. ~Peter M.

I congratulate you for this effort.

As someone who personally struggles with same sex attraction, all these academics do is lead people astray and prevent real and genuine healing. By insisting and promoting the identification with sexual attraction, it is impossible to truly heal and recover in the graces of the Church as it constantly identifies the person with his sin. They push the idea that it is an integral part of the person and the Church must change its teachings. This is wrong and only causes more pain and confusion to those who are genuinely suffering. Public Orthodoxy and the rest of the academics at Fordham have also praised apostasy after someone left the Church after being denied communion for persisting in sin. This is unacceptable and it continues to pain me again and again that nothing is being done to speak out against these people who would rather I have persisted in the pit of sin that the Church saved me from.

UNIATE

I left the Roman Church because of this (well partly) for Orthodoxy. If the hierarchs do not cut this off now, Orthodoxy will go the same way as Rome and the Protestants and the laity will loose all faith in the Church and indeed Christianity I want you all (hierarchs) to really ponder what that means and the implications it has not just for the souls in the Church, but, our religion as a whole

This was a key issue as I was deciding to become Orthodox 30 years ago - I closely questioned 2 persons in the Church who considered themselves homosexual about whether the Church considered this lifestyle as acceptable to God and Church teaching and they finally admitted it was not. Both were subsequently ordained and one is still a priest today in a major cathedral in the OCA. If there had a been even a whisper that this could be accepted by the Church militant I might not have become Orthodox, please, your eminences and graces, do not disappoint me now!

ANATHEMA

We cannot allow the Church to conform to the world, or to allow Christ's compassion to be portrayed as permission for sin.

I try to stay positive and not wallow in stories about error, so I cannot endorse every factual predicate of this petition. But there is a definite effort to get the Church to deviate from the sexual moral standards implicit in "the faith once delivered," and that effort seems to be growing. Firm pastoral guidance would be appreciated.

Loving and firm words and actions are needed to refute this heresy.

I am very new to Orthodoxy, I came to Orthodoxy because I came to understand that it was Christ's true church. I am trying to share the truth of Orthodoxy (right thinking) with my family and my Protestant friends how can I do this, if Othodox are no different, if they are not set apart from religious cults that are teaching heresy? Please do sonething about this!
