The State Board of Ed. members have expressed support for Nicastro. Their trustworthiness is in question, too.

If you're giving conditions, then changing them because they were met so you can hand a public trust over to a private corporation, that's called fraud. Nicastro did. Resign.

Public schools need to be public: NOT charters or privatized. Stop the corporate agenda....who is giving her money?? What about local control??

Either wittingly or unwittingly, Commissioner Nicastro seems to be pursuing a course toward privatizing education (i.e. eliminating public schools). If wittingly, she should be replaced for intent. If unwittingly, she should be reploaced for incompetence. She stated she has no position on tenure. That also calls for her replacement. She should be opposed to elimination of tenure. Great teachers sometimes tread on sensitive grounds and will not seek employment where scared hirelings are on staff, subject to arbitrary termination.
