Please help to get Dr. Chris Nicastro's resignation. Think about thousand of children in St. Louis Public, St. Louis County, and Kansas City school districts who lack proper learning tools for an education they so rightfully deserve. They are suffering. The longer it takes for our people to sign this petition, the worst these children continue to be abused by the educational system. Stop this insanity, our children don't deserve to be treated unfairly. Moreover, adults are creating these problems not these poor children! Dr. Nicastro stop holding our children back....please!

Chris Nicastro, Shame, Shame on you!!! The term PUBLIC EDUCATION means that is the given responsibility and duty of the State to SUPPORT the system of Public Schools! A disappointment to your position.

secrecy is something that demeans the education system and the manner in which you and the legislature went about lying to the KCMSD was fraudalent and dishonest. You gave them hope, you made them spend money where you know it would jnot matter and you have them start programs that would have no effect on YOUR outcome. You and your committee members, no matter your intentions, misused the trust placed upon you and made a mockery of the process that should have been followed. You had your own agenda from the beginning and should have excused yourself from this process altogether and I wish you had had the integrity to have done so but obviously you did not. Shame on you and you faction of business partners. They are not educators and education is not a business but a process something you forgot in your ivory tower.

This is not about students. The majority of charter schools in the KC area are underperforming the public schools. The staff working with students in the KCPS are incredibly dedicated to the students and families of the District. The hardwork is beginning to payoff and to put the students and their families through unnecessary changes. It is time to allow the dedicated professionals of the KCPS to build on the gains they have made over the past year.

I'm a retired teacher. Give KC teachers a break. They work very hard at their jobs. It's not easy to be teaching in the inner city. I taught for 20 years there and loved it.
