It seems that Old Naples has neither heavy leaves or big spaces that would require high power leaf blowers

Naples has a sound ordinance? Assume it does not apply to loud motorcycles & assorted cars & pickups driven by yahoos up and down 5th Ave. Maybe I should cruise 5th with a leaf blower handing out my window while playing loud rap music.

We need to grab back the right to peace and quiet in our neighborhoods. Let's enforce the rules we already have!

Noise restrictions are used in gated communities. Old Naples should have standards that are at least equal if not better - it's part of the reason we choose to live here.

This may sound naïve, but I must say it!! Leaves are never collected and removed, just blown from place to place. The whole system is ridiculous. Way too much noise, for nothing! A clean area for a day. Then the leaves have blown right back.

Hooray for quieter landscaping equipment. It is hard to think, let alone talk, with the blowers outside our windows in a ground floor room. ma
