This is in connection with the latest news release from MOE and KHDA, stating that schools will resume from 30th August 2020.

We believe sending children back to school at a time when the current situation of Covid 19 still prevails may ‘spell disaster’.

We are all aware that currently there is no vaccine available and no known treatment to cure Covid-19. All of us are definitely taking precautions and following guidelines that are stated, however, we fear the spread of this virus may continue for more time until there is a vaccine available.

We parents, are concerned about the well being of our children and hence, are not in favour of –

  • Campus or face-to-face classes AND
  • Mix of Distance Learning and on Campus classes.

Until the situation comes under control and we are convinced that it is safe for children to resume school physically, we request the School Management to take it up with MOE and KHDA to continue Online classes / E-learning atleast till the first term and thereafter, to review the situation and take a call for the second term.

We trust the School Management will have a positive outlook at this request and will take the necessary steps towards its implementation.

Thanking you in anticipation

July 10, 2020

We just hit 250 signatures and it proves that the school management cannot ignore our fear for our children any longer. The KHDA and MOE need to stop gambling with our kids while this virus is still a threat. We are staying loud until they shut down these plans for campus attendance.

July 8, 2020

We hit 100 signatures and the school management is already feeling the pressure. This is just the beginning because we refuse to let them gamble with our children's health while the virus is still running rampant.

The school management is ignoring our fears while the virus remains a clear threat to our children. We are nearly at one hundred signatures so push this link to every parent you know right now and force them to pay attention.

My daughter is 7 year old and to send her to school during this time is not advisable. Children in this age group won't be knowing about social distancing and wearing mask all the time. Please refrain from regular school till parents are comfortable in sending the children.

I would like my child Navina K Lala continue with distance learning for her next academy year. Navina has a heart condition and sending her to school in this pandemic will not be safe. Mask and gloves cannot guarantee the life safety.

It is very risky to send kids school .online classes should be continue for first term.In some countries when schools were oppend they had to close them again because so many students and teachers got infected.

Being a father of a 6 yr old , I believe it's impossible for a kid at that age to sit through the complete duration of the class with masks on and not interacting with his friends. The online classes were very well received and I think it would be ideal to keep it going as before.

For the safety of the kids I request the school to continue online teachings. The online classes have worked very well for both of my children and the teachers have been very helpful and supportive. We request the school to kindly consider this petition.

Considering the current pandemic, it's better to avoid restarting the school at least till the end of year or till the vaccination are out. Most importantly it's not good for the elderly people (if people are at home) to expose to the kids returning back from school. Regards

Considering the current Covid 19 scenario, as a parent, I prefer online learning classes for the safety of children. Thank you

Would prefer to have the distance studies continued for 1st term and next year once the situation normalise we can send our child to school. Would not prefer sending him to school with the current situation. Thank you On behalf of Year 3
