More and more control, what is raising the price of water going todo ton raise the level of ground water? On top of that, this will force a form of healthy entertainment and activity to shut down or raise prices to the point that most of the patrons of this iconic golf coarse to shut down. Just how many healthy affordable activities are there in the Antelope Valley. Personally, I think this golf coarse should be subsidized by Lancaster City in order to assure its continued presence as one of the few wholesome, healthy and affordable outdoor activities that exist here.

Love this place… This is the first place I golfed when I moved to Palmdale 30yrs ago and it’s the first place I took my son to play. He was about 10 or 11 yrs old and he parred his 4th hole ever played (short par 3 over the water). We’ve been playing together ever since. He is now 28yrs old and shoots in the 70s.. My 24yr old daughter just showed interest and I will be taking her back there to hopefully spark the same thing in her heart and we can all play together soon… I’m sure I’m just one of many stories about Rancho Sierra GC… We need to do what ever we can to save this little gem…

My father taught me the wonderful game of golf on this course and I taught my son. Three generations of my family have enjoyed this course. Let’s keep it for generations to come.

As a sport who uses the course for competition and practice rounds it will leave us with displaced players of FootGolf if the course has to close. This has been a mainstay of FootGolf in the region for several years and it will affect our competitions and the ability of players to practice. If the course closes. Please keep a valuable resource in the area.

This is an insult to all who live in the AV, if this GC should cease to operate. There is ample water to be channeled into the AV, i.e., to continue operation of RSGC. Water droughts are a normality for L.A. county and vicinity(ies). As such was with the city of L.A. all most a 100 years ago. It's up to our political leaders to do as in the past, i.e., to insure that we keep what little enjoyment we have in the AV especially our GC's in particularly RSGC. You politicians PLEASE get off your laurels and act NOW!

I like this golf course, it’s perfect for seniors who cannot golf more than nine holes and it’s a short course. It’s also a beautiful golf course, well kept.

I’m retired and this course offers me a place to socialize with my friends. I’m on a fixed income and cannot afford to pay over $70 to play 18 holes.

This course is a staple of the Antelope Valley. It provides socialization for those with a limited income. i.e. retirees. It’s a safe place for children to learn golf etiquette, social skills and receive lessons. This course has a special place in my heart. My father taught me to play golf there in the 80’s. It created memories that continue to bring me happiness. The Antelope Valley Union High School District uses this course for practice and tournaments. There are very few places for young people to participate in an activity that keeps them out of trouble. If this course closes it could increase delinquency in the AV.

Antelope Valley Watermaster Board,
Please do whatever is necessary to keep our Rancho Sierra Golf Course open for business!
I have resided in the Antelope Valley for over 33 wonderful years, and the above mention golf course is directly responsible for my family and close friends that enjoy golfing practically year round.
When ever I experience a few of life’s hurdles - I continue to visit Rancho Sierra to clear my stress by enjoying some quality time on their fairways and greens.
More importantly their staff and personnel are always professional and they go above and beyond to ensure the golfer experience on their course is a pleasant one.
Furthermore,
Rancho Sierra in my humble opinion is an essential business - just ask any local high school golf student what Ranch Sierra means to them………. The answers may assist you in this Boards pending decision.
Respectfully,
Kenneth R. Scott
PS - The Board should consider making this golf course an Antelope Valley local landmark - thus eliminating a water concern in the near future as well.

Playing a round of golf at Rancho Sierra has always been a wonderful, fun, relaxing experience. In this day and age, we cannot afford to lose any more recreational activities. This golf course closing would be a very sad thing to happen for those of us that enjoy it so much! With everything so expensive in California, it’s a relatively inexpensive way to enjoy your day.

Rancho Sierra is valuable asset to the Antelope Valley. Water is always a concern in our desert, but pricing businesses into out is not logical as we seek healthy outlets.
