As a group, Block III has discussed the unfairness of recent events surrounding EdTPA and the time that we have been given to complete task 4. On our calendars and in our syllabi the next required meeting is on March 18th, 2019. In two separate meetings it was questioned and confirmed several times that March 18th, 2019 was in fact the correct date. Since it was discussed and confirmed several times, Block III students and their Mentor Teachers have carefully planned out task 4 and when they will be proceeding. After the confirmations of the EdTPA meeting in March, we were informed through an email that the next meeting in which we were expected to have completed task 4 was on February 18th, 2019. This is a required meeting that is meant to give us feedback on our task 4 and to guide us through completing it before submission. In order to gain the most from this, we need more time to prepare.

The response from our cohort regarding this scheduling discrepancy has been significant and overwhelming. This momentum confirms that our collective request for an adjusted timeline is both reasonable and necessary for our success. We will move forward with this show of support to ensure our academic requirements are managed with fairness.

I was supposed to be out of town on February 18 and planned it that was because it was a day we were not scheduled to be in the field, have classes or any meeting.
this is honestly ridiculous. we all planned around the march date and moving it up a whole month is impossible for everyone who has mentor teachers lined up already.

You are not the only one in that situation! A lot of us made plans for that weekend/week because it's marked out on our calendars.
