Request for crossing guard at Springfield Avenue and Doering Way in Cranford New Jersey

We had a guard at that corner when my children were young it was a huge help

Please consider for the safety of our children

Yea a cop should be there no doubt

It’s the absolute least the town can do for us after allowing all of the building that’s causing the horrendous traffic. How many ppl need to get hit by cars before something is done to rectify the situation? Step up Cranford

Please add a crossing guard at Doering/Springfield. It is very dangerous there especially when children are arriving for school and being dismissed. Thank you.

Please also add flashing yellow light signs to every spot where we have a crossing guard for their protection and for our kids!

Our son just started attending Orange Ave. School and we couldn't believe that there was only one crossing guard on Springfield Ave. I am also amazed that most cars do not stop for kids at the crosswalk! A crossing guard at Springfield and Doering Way is an essential step to keeping our kids safe.

Please make this happen to protect these children and spare any tragedy!

I cross Springfield every morning at Balmiere. I make sure to go to Nomahegan very early so I can be sure to get back before 7 AM, otherwise it is next to impossible to safely cross.

Please get a crossing guard here. I make a left at this intersection everyday after work, around 3:30 Kids are crossing, and cars will whiz around me to get by. It is so dangerous. One crossing guard on the corner or west end and Springfield is not enough!!

My son and his friends walk home to OAS and need to cross Springfield every afternoon. This spot is dangerous spot and certainly warrants a crossing guard.

For all the years my children attended Brookside Place School and CHS there was a crossing guard at Springfield Ave and Doering Way. I feel that a crossing guard is much needed at this busy intersection.

I live on Doering Way and have 3 children that will be entering Brookside beginning next year. This increase in resources will protect the lives of my children and the continually growing population of children walking to school from the neighborhood. I grew up walking to Orange Ave School everyday and remember it being a safe and communal experience. Crossing Springfield Ave. is dangerous and a crossing guard will afford the neighborhood children of the same safe experience I had, that Cranford is known for. Please approve the position. Thank you.
